How’s the HE-X4 sound? The short answer is it’s a more balanced/neutral HE-4XX. Going from memory, it also reminded me of the DT880 with it’s tuning—though perhaps not quite as bright. I will probably do a more detailed impressions post later.

You’ve even got some kind of booklet in there for interconnects? I’m afraid to ask how much you spent for those? I hope your amp and dac will be facing the wall so you can enjoy looking at those interconnects!
Better yet… You should put them on a slowly rotating platform with spotlights.

It could be true if they made if very long or in special color, something different and not from the shelf but if they always make any cable from order. Then it would be true also. No order no cable so it’s for you in any case.
Still nice a touch and would bring good fibes to new owner.

Finally got some new cable for this baby right here, for it deserves such treatment for the BLON BL-05S Impressed me a lot and now part of the S tier echelon along with my Starfields and BL-03s. Yinyoo knows their shit for cables.

Bought an assortment of wheel brushes for my car, a Chemical Guys large waffle microfiber drying towel, also for the car, and a Sony UBP-X800M2 Blu-ray player since I haven’t had anything to play my Blu-rays on for about 6 years or so, other than the PS4 in the bedroom system.

These babies arrived today. Gave them a listen for an hour before putting them on the burner. Definitely prefer them to the 03s, for both fit and sound signature.
Looking forward to listening to them after the burn-in.

the BL-05S is the perfect sidegrade or even an upgrade from the BLON BL-03s. The non-S BLON BL-05s don’t do it for me, and I am thankful on some of the folks who warned me about it back then for I was planning to buy it at that time. Got the Starfields instead of the BL-05

Got the Starfields, too Meh for me. Detailed, balanced and neutral but no umph in them. I have a number of sub $100 IEMs and my favourites thus far are the KZ ZX10 Pros. I have a pair of Thieaudio Legacy 3s in transit, and I am looking forward to listening to them.

Have fun, and yeah kind of understandable that the Starfields are not for everyone since the tuning for the treble is being played safe, but for me they are good enough in a relaxing way, not too aggressive or boring just the right sound.
I am experimenting with ear tips at the moment and I am waiting for the Final Audio E Type ear tips to be delivered here, because I need a break from SpinFit.

I’ve been eyeing these for months. I’d like to blame @Rikudou_Goku for hyping me, but to be fair I did that myself :P. I went to a shop to demo them and it turned out the unit I was listening to was a returned product so I got a €50 discount. Haven’t had the opportunity to try them out on my own gear, but I’m pretty excited.

Got this neat audio switch that lets you easily go between your balanced and unbalanced amps and DACs.

I almost got that same XLR switcher. Something I never answered for myself, can it connect an RCA input/output to an XLR output/input?

Yes, it does exactly that. Although some amps are designed assuming that the XLR inputs will have a higher line level voltage than the RCA inputs. So that’s the one downside to a converting switch like this
