Any sound difference? Or just for looks?
I was aiming at Clairvoyance or Monarch as my next IEM, but when the Oracle/Excalibur came I went for the Oracle. If it is as good, but at $200 less, then it is a bargin.
They are smaller than expected, but build and cable seems solid in quality and the same for the accessories. Only one size spin-fit tip, but very cool unboxing.

Fucking finally, after those days of me resisting a lot of urge to buy some IEMs/Headphones, I finally have this fella! My first DAC/AMP ever, and I must say the sounds that I am hearing from these so far have been enlightening to say the least. Time to listen to The Strokes more with these on.

That K702 Anniversary Edition is a nice buy. They don’t show up on the used market as much as they used to. I actually like the K702 AE more than the K712, which I like a lot.
I use the K712 pretty much for classical only, really like the soundstage and the added bass compared to K701/K702 but it’s pretty meh for vocals; K702 Anni is pretty great in that regard. I am actually surprised that K702 Anni comes up a lot less often than HD580J

Its very hard to beat kimber if the money is there. They look so darn good. I dont know if ill ever make that level of cables possible but thats where ill go when i step up from the mogami standard
