Something a little different than our usual gear but these came in today and honestly… I’m impressed. I’m liking these more than I expected I would. Galaxy Buds Plus.

Just busting you. I’ll probably get it around to it eventually. Glad you’re enjoying it. I’m currently listening to his LCD3 PF.

How good is the meze?

You know, I’ve really been enjoying it. My only closed backs I’ve had for the last year are the NDH20 and the 280 Pros. I’ve grown accustomed to closed backs being very neutral and “studio”. Not the, Meze. Very exciting, slightly warm, and plenty of low end. Soundstage is a little close, but not like the NDH20.

Thank you.
I think about it and it always catches my eye - the good Meze.
I currently have the Emu Purpleheart for mobile use and I’m not sure if the Meze is worthy, the price is also a deterrent.

Found these HD580s in amazing shape. Going to give them some time and see how they compare to the trusty HD650. So far pretty good.

Weird request, can you show me what the stock cable looks like? Especially the connectors

Also amazing headphones in amazing conditions. I may possibly prefer it over the HD600/650, but mine is the earlier flat plate version

I don’t have the Meze 99 Noir anymore but it was really a great headphone, especially at the price point. Comfy with a relaxed, warm sound signature.

The Meze 99’s are great for mobile use. The hard case is very practical, they are beautiful to look at, the sound is very nice, the headphones are ridiculously light/comfy and they take almost no power to drive. They and my LG 30 phone formed a strong partnership for a few years.

I sold them because I didn’t find they scaled up with my home gear, but I am having a hard time finding another set of mobile 'phones that meet all of the above details.

Here they are.

Cheers! It looks like it uses OG HD600 cable.

It’s also the black screen. Which seems to be the better version.
The connectors were in tight AF. I guess being in the box that long, idk?

If I’m not mistaken I think all HD580 are black screen? They only change to silver screen on 600/650 in 2009 I think. The connectors are tight, mines like that as well

Ok, I was thinking there were some silver screens later on and then they ended them for the 600. I’m probably wrong lol

I’m pretty unsure about it as well lol. But I do know they have a earlier flat plate and the later non-flat plate version (the one you got) and if you enjoy yours I think it’s worth searching for a pair of flat plate

After looking into it and reading the difference, I think I would probably prefer the version I have. Flat plate may be a little too much in the treble for my taste.

Bought a laptop, a Lenovo Yoga slim 7. It sports an AMD Ryzen 7 4700u, 16gb ram and 512gb ssd. It is going to replace my old macbook pro 13" from 2014. All my other computers run windows, so even though i enjoy the MacOS experience i am much more confident in tinkering with windows. Going to write up a few more thoughts of it in the “lets talk about computers” thread.

(colors on the screen are a bit off from what i see with my own eyes, but i guess low light photography with my iphone explains why)

Had these for a little bit and I’m extremely happy with them. The VOs are great but I think these really take it to the next level. Hard to believe these are closed back and sound this good.
