I was actually in contact with the seller before you (I think) then I told him I’d let him know as soon as I decided…less than 24hrs later I messaged him back and said I’d take it then I see this post pop up! lol
Haven’t received any messages from him since…well, I guess you beat me to it! 
he mentioned two others who where interested but hadnt commit yet, i said i was ready to buy here is my paypal, etc. he accepted

Like a bad deal? At like 3.5k it’s not a good deal if it’s used. 3k ish is a fair price, 2.7k is a good price, anything lower is very good

Nice! I’d be interested in what you think of the iris, I have a kte su-2 and I really like it in my chain.
DH labs makes some really solid cables for the price, have one of their bnc and USB cables, pretty great quality

Are DDCs’ main purpose basically what USB isolators do (like intona) but with more I/O?
That is one purpose. Some dacs don’t have USB so if you only have or want to use USB output you have to use a DDC. They also allow you to connect multiple dacs to one source.

So after deciding to not buy the Soloist 3X in favor of waiting for something higher tier… I got it anyway because $850 is a great deal.
Which helps relieve some of the pain of buying this 3080ti plus a monitor I don’t want for $2370 total.
Though I suppose on the plus side, I’m finally released from the torment of endless failed purchase attempts of the past 6 months.

I just bought the ZSN Pro X off of a guy who hadn’t even taken the shrink wrap off them.
This is probably the best buy I’ve ever made in regards to price/performance. I have had some pretty nice gear over time, including the L700 Mk2 with the SRM-D50, but I much prefer the ZSN Pro X with my ugly blue painted Aune X1s over that combo. The detail I can hear in these little things is just…blowing me away.
I am actually for the first time considering upgrading from Spotify to Qobuz…I’m probably just fooling myself by doing that, but what if it actually matters with this combo?
TL;DR: Consider the ZSN Pro X if you have some spare change just sitting there.

I finally finished the last piece of the puzzle for a system that I built for a friend! Within a span of a month or so I obtained different pieces and chose them all for very particular reasons! And it was so fun! Bought some Nighthawk OGs as the main piece. Got the Modius/Asgard stack from my boi hazi as the source gear in addition to waiting for rca interconnects, micro USB to USB c cable, and a cheap android phone as a music source while I also put music in it. The entire process was fun and it really felt nice to do so for someone else instead of for myself lol. Today it felt good having all the pieces together and ready to be shipped
