Even though it isn’t an OTL, it still has a nice tubey sound…but much cleaner than something like the Darkvoice or Little Dot. It is a unique design and Jim Hagerman has an awesome track record with Tube Amps and Phono. I think it is an amp that is unique and worth having…especially for somebody that wants a tube amp but doesn’t want to lose clarity.

Yeah, it absolutely wasn’t what I was expecting to hear from a tube amp. The clear and natural sound it gives is amazing.

Hmmm, I have one more spot open on my desk for a single ended amp, might just have to pick one up myself lol, I’ve liked it when I have heard it, so another amp can’t hurt right lol?

I figured already having the shangri la sr and the warwick aperio filled the high end estat role for me lol. He did get an excellent example of a he90, very impressive piece for sure

Awesome, they look like quite a find. It is rare that the Orpheus comes up for sale, even rarer when they come in the condition like the one in the listing. Congrats, let us know how they sound

IDK man, admittedly I would say the he90 is close to being on par with the he1, they actually haven’t come that far
Edit: I would say the he90 is a wiser investment than the he1 as well (so perhaps cashing out isn’t the worst idea lol)
It was a longer than anticipated wait, but my Focal Clears arrived today. So far, I’m really enjoying the sound. I plan to do a lengthy listening session this evening. Neutralish but Fun sound signature, which I’m a total sucker for.
Also, my 6P14P-EV NOS tubes arrived today and currently being burnt in on the Tuba.
