Went full Tard and got Meze Rai Solos on top of other recent IEMs. LOL still waiting on L3 and Spring 1 from China soooo smh
Niceee real curious to hear what you think
Yeah I’m curios how they will sound on Enog2 Pro + THX 789.
I know yours are camphor (but it shouldn’t make too much of a difference vs Paduak theoretically), but I’m interested in the pairing with the THX 789. Running mine off an Enog2 + Monolith LP.
Also congratulations
The alternatives are imperfect as well: either consign yourself to a single standard for audio interconnects or wear out your headphones and IEMs by changing cables excessively. Multiple cables can get expensive, too.
I personally like the trend of these configurable cables, particularly when they use a nice robust interconnect. It’s trading a gain in convenience for a less-optimal connection, but IMO that’s a good trade more often than it’s not. Besides, having a flexible cable system doesn’t preclude you from also owning a dedicated cable for any headphones or IEMs for which you refuse to compromise.
@CapistranoCables - your solution looks really sharp, FWIW. I prefer braided cables over nylon sheathes, and I really like the look you’ve got going.
Here’s what I’ve been using:
I’ve standardized all of my headphone and IEM cables to use a 2.5mm balanced connector, and I have a set of “super-short” Eidolic connectors. I also carry around a mishmash of other interconnects and adapters, like the pair of 2.5 ↔ 4.4 pigtails (still in their wrappers), the 2.5 → RCA that can let one of my A&K DAPs be a source in a pinch, or the plain 3.5mm stereo interconnect that came in handy for listening to the Pandas wired when I attended Drop’s Listening Day event.
I’ve already more than gotten my money’s worth out of this little audio toolkit by dragging it to CANJAM and RMAF with some of my own IEMs and headphones, allowing me to listen to other amps and DAPs with my own equipment.
That’s a cool setup.
Yeah the interconnects are no different than a adapter. I use to have 4 pin xlr cables and had to use them with an adapter for my current amps. With this setup if I need a different termination I’ll just buy one main and use it with the other Ys.
Someone please also take my fucking wallet away from me. I just bought the Topping a50, up next is the e30, and then probably he4xxs or argons. Oh god.
Go geshelli and never regretti
wait that doesn’t rhyme…
I was thinking about that, but no optical port at least for a while, and needed multiple options oh well, the a50 should be all the power i want to shit out for the next few years, at least I think.
Nice. 15 years ago I had Killerspin Diamond TX if I remember correctly. I got pissed off and I thought I had one of my cheaper Kettler paddles, but I ended up smashing my fancy not yet fully broken in Diamond TX.
Hopefully you make better decisions and can return an aggressive backhand with massive topspin.
You is a poet but you didn’t know it!!
Just proves that I have no self restraint lol but a great price and on the plus side I’m pretty much set as far as dacs are concerned… At least untill I want something different sounding that is haha
Excellent dac, lampizator gang lol
Well, the shit I ordered from Linsoul finally came in yesterday.
Now I get to try out Guideray GR-i68 and BLON BL-03
Can you don’t?
Congratulations @Towa . I hope you enjoy it. I look forward to your thoughts and impressions.
To be more accurate it’s most likely “last dac you will need, unless you upgrade your setup again” lol
