My first woodies lol. Very pretty, fits nicely, cable is 2000% better than Koss shit despite still being a rubbery material (seems similar to my AD900x cable).
Holy crap do they scream. slight bump around ~800kHz (actually like that), but the real problem to my ears are massive peaks at 3.5kHz and ~7.5kHz. With the right recordings they actually do sound amazing but as someone who listens to a lot of treble-heavy J-core… ow. Nanahira sings a good 10dB louder than she should, snares and cymbals are ear piercing, violins have an unatural level of overtone.
Even so, they are growing on me. Or maybe I’m losing my hearing very rapidly. :^)
Also seller was nice to send this paper crane with it. How sweet.
Put an order in for Zampotech’s SW51+ tube amp, looking like it won’t come until April but from what I’ve heard about it I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait. Also hoping the LP goes on discount soon, been eyeing it for a while now (or I may just take the slight risk that is going with the open box route).
I WAS NOT drinking and shopping this time. However I did succumb to peer pressure. I’m not saying names ( cough@sa11297cough) who pressured me. Please enjoy the fact I’m use the Bifrost 2 to thaw out the Sagra before use.
Got some clamps from Brainwavz to hang my headphones from the shelf above my desk. Pretty damn nice for the money, they are even curved a bit to follow the curve of the headband.
I haven’t necessarily heard much in it yet.
At the beginning, there were good pigs in the air.
With Lcd 2, it was still OK for the first 30 minutes.
Then I switched to the Denon D2000.
At the beginning it was still really distorted.
But it got better from minute to minute.
After a good 4 hours, the picture came out.
And phew, the Tr x00 D2000 are definitely at home.
So far, everything is in place.
More about this later in the review.
I couldn’t really listen to the Audeze because my wife’s 3D printer is running, so it’s a bit more annoying than listening to the Denon.
What comes out when 3d printers are running you can see here.
Made especially for me.
