Looks like a modern beyerdynamic driver from the 770 or 990 series of headphones, can’t give much more info on the impedance or what specific model it’s from without seeing the back of the driver
I mean it too.
My Dt 770 looks so
If I had to guess it would be the 770 driver since on those the black lines are slightly darker and the black line circle is a bit farther from the edge (compared to the 990 driver) of the driver unit, but can’t say for sure (not really a reliable way to tell, but it’s def a beyer driver, most likely a 990 or 770 driver)
Hmm jop, otherwise times on the Beyerdynamic page under the spare parts times compare.
A Beyerdynamic driver it is safe,
That’s the DT beyer driver
based on your image and the image in this link. Its possible its a 1770
Should be a Beyerdynamic driver, only the connectors are unknown to me.
On my Dt 770 they were soldered directly, unless they have changed it.
The thing is that I bought 1990 and these drivers were inside. Could it be so that I got scammed?
No, that’s a 1990 driver because of the back, my bad on thinking it was a 770/990, I thought the 1990/1770 had extra material on the front of the driver but they don’t. It doesn’t seem that you’ve been scammed or anything
why would you think you’ve been scammed…?
Well the pictures of the front of the driver was different than most pictures on the internet. And the sound It self is not that good… Also they run of a phone really loud and amp that I have (e10k) doesn’t really make that big of the difference. Also I bought the for really quite cheap for 200eur when they cost around 400.
your running them off a phone and a non ideal amp that may get them loud but more than likely does not have enough power to drive them 1990 are 250 ohm and are not meant to be on phones less you have a rather strong portable amp… e10k barily drives 250 ohm headphones. normally you have a piece of black foam and a plastic ring cover adapter over that foam snapped in place to cover that driver portion. Then again, the price you mention is quite questionable.
Yes this is true, did it come with the ring and the foam on the driver?
This to me sounds like a potential issue from a sound quality perspective. What about the headphones sounds off so far?
https://prntscr.com/w0s9p9. Yeah it comes with foam and that ring. But like someone commented earlier the connectors are way different than any pictures of 1990/1770
Internally on the driver itself or the connectors on the outside of the headphones? It should have a 3 pin mini xlr on the outside, and the inside wiring on the drivers looks normal to me for a 1990/1770
When it comes to sound it just kind of meh overall? I also don’t really have problems with treble that so many people talk about. The details are not really that amazing as well, it’s honestly really not that much better than my blon bl03, as well as bass hits harder on blon even when I apply eq on these dt’s. Also in gaming they are really not that special and honestly pretty similar to my old cheap headset, when everyone talks they should be like a wallhack. Another thing I noticed that the sound gets way more lively when I apply just a little pressure to the cups with my fingers. I feel like I don’t really get a good seal without pressing. Maybe because the past owner had a really huge head and my head is really quite small (I only extend the headphones for 1 dot on the headband adjuster) so the headphones maybe became really loose with minimal clamp force.
Hmmm are the pads overly warn out or in poor condition and did it come with both the balanced and analytical pads? They def should have much more detail than the blon along with better spatial creation. They aren’t really being amped properly, but even then they should still be a higher level of detail than the blon. I would also make sure that when you put it back together that the driver is put back properly and secured with the foam and the ring to make sure the driver isn’t loose
