I guess i could always do the big bag of weed technique. Now the question is how bad am i going to get bent over on duties. Canadians get juiced!

Not sure but got the 4xx a month back I paid $30 in duties. But also depends on how they ship it. I had to rma my amp to monoprice and didn’t have to pay shit.

I went with fed-ex, i have had great experiences with them. UPS on the other hand can eat a dick.

I have good experiences with everyone all the delivery men I my area are considerate . Only time I have issues is when someone like massdrop ships through DHL. And goes to Canada Post instead of DHL that usually means duties for me

FedEx can eat a bag of dicks where I live. But I’m not going to go on that rant again

UPS charges a “Brokerage fee”. You dont just pay duties but what ive found to be ridiculous add on charge. I have ended up paying 400 dollars in brokerage on a car audio amp years ago. It was over double the actual duties fee.

Oh and canada post never even attempts to deliver. they are too lazy. They don’t even show up with an order pick up slip, just say delivery attempted and i have to go to the local pickup. So yeah, interchange the company names but i feel your pain M0N. All these companies suck!

anyone get these yet? please post first impressions!

I think monoprice ships mostly with fedex(they rarely do weekend delivery), so I think a couple people like @juicebox12 will be getting them Monday, and I will be getting them Tuesday.

Im surprised monoprice hasn’t sent them out to influencers for early reviews

Its also annoying that the M1570 is shipping with a 1/4 inch to minixlr cable as opposed to a balanced cable. I wanted balanced as planars typically like more power, but I suppose if you have something like the SMSL SP200 you’ll be fine as it doesnt matter.

Audezes ship with that also. I bought a Periapt balanced cable, and it’s pretty good. The nice thing is that more and more headphone companies use this input so you can buy one cable and be covered.

Yeah I bought one for my zmf eikons, so im waiting for the cable to come in. USPS marked it as delivered on friday but its nowhere to be found lol. Hoping its coming in monday or tuesday.

The nice thing is that as you buy more headphones, you’ll eventually have the cable situation covered in-house. I have a couple 1/4" to XLR adapters that work just fine. My Mr Speakers Ether CX came with a really nice one, and the HE6se did as well and both work out fine. I wouldn’t expect the Monoprice cables to be that good at these prices, but the cost of the headphone doesn’t often match the quality of the cable either. Looking at you Focal and Hifiman

Yes, I have so many miscellaneous adapters and stuff that I don’t need to buy cables lol

I really like the stock cable Audeze includes for their mini XLRs. It’s light and closer to an iem cable than I expected. I think they try to keep the cables light so they can add that extra weight into the headphones

I mean I like their single ended cable too. Pretty solid

never heard of mini-xlr. never seen a mini-xlr port in a amp
