it’s the headphone connection. Your Aeolus will have them
Yeah it’s mainly used for connections on headphones or in a system like on Hart audio cables
If you read the q and a for the 1570 they say they come with a balanced cable as well.
One monoprice staff member says it’ll come with single ended and balanced, another more recent monoprice staff member said just single ended and that is reflected in the listing. Hopefully it comes with the balanced but we’ll see.
Just got my 1570s in, they come in the same box and carrying case as the M1060/1060C. Mine did come with the extra set of pads as described, and it also only came with a mini xlr to 1/4 to 3.5mm adapter and did not include a balanced cable, the velour pads are unfortunately not angled and the foam seems to be middle to lower quality with them. The leather pads that are installed on the headphones seem to be high quality though. Monoprice has also included one of the most well built 1/4 to 3.5mm adapters ive seen lol.
Edit: Cable seems to be well made and well sleeved, but its not as flexible as a periapt etc…
Now to listen!
Can’t wait to get your impressions! Also I would love be to see some beauty shots
One thing of note is I find the headband is HEAVILY padded so comfort should be good for a good amount of people. Then again I may not be the best to hear that from as I have curly hair that acts as extra padding so YMMV.
=0! What are the off the bat immediate impressions of the sound?
Alright
I need these
My bet is that they will be on the same tier but will be different and enjoyable enough to keep both
Bass is well extended like you want from a planar. Soundstage is wider than I thought it would be. Still need to run thru my playlist, I spent a couple mins trying to get non-shit lighting for the photos LOL
I just tried to swap cables from my Eikon to the M1570 and I think monoprice wired their mini-xlr in a nonstandard way. Its tripping my overcurrent protect on the THX 788.
what do they sound like man! are they shit? are they great?
interesting about the cables… a bit inconvenient if that is the case. Do the cables it comes with not trip the over-current?
Yeah the one it comes with works fine, I really wanted to run these balanced to see how they do w/ power. But ill test them with a third cable later and see what happens.
Another thing of note, I imagine the wideness of the soundstage is due to the headphones having essentially no isolation.
I could trip the overcurrent running the Tin P1s balanced on the monoprice 788 pretty easily. Heavy bass note hit at loud enough levels, unit freaked out and powered itself down. So I don’t know if it’s just a similar issue.
The drivers also seem fairly farther from your ear so that would help with that as well
Hey juicebox you should really try edibles much healthier than smoking. I live in Las Vegas and I have my edibles delivered twice a month. I’m not sure how it works in Canada.
