Actually I say smoke but I use a vaporizer. Can’t stand burnt flower.

I have found the imaging to be good and the dynamic range to be pretty good, bass does not hit as hard as an HE6SE etc… but it is definitely there. As it is a planar one should be able to EQ it to almost whatever they want. Soundstage seems to be “natural” as in circular around you as you would hear in person vs being above or below like other headphones.

Dynamic range is still less than a LCD4z, Focal Stellia or meze empyrean etc… but good regardless.

I havent really noticed any peaks anywhere there may be a slight one at 10K-ish but I need to check/see it graphed before saying anything definite.

Ran a bass test track and was unable to get it to distort, which is good as well.

Disclaimer I am a noob who has not heard very much, and my auditions with the stellia, 4z and empyrean were brief so I may not know what Im talking about.

Here is the question… Are they fun to listen to? What types of music are you loving most. I won’t get a chance to play with mine for at least 5 hours. I have a fairly decent little collection to compare it to when I get the chance.

My collection:
Sendy aiva
Focal elex
M1060c vegan pads
58x
6xx
400i
Meze 99 noir

So if anyone wants comparisons I can do a a-b tonight. Nothing fancy on the list but at least a point of reference for most I think.

Well I personally own the Aiva and Elex and 660s (similar to 58x) so those comparisons would be great for me personally. lol

curious on how these stack up to the aiva

Nice. Glad to hear the 6SE are getting replaced

Curious to know, was that overcurrent protect thru the XLR or the single ended port?

It should be through both

shouldve quoted previous post, my bad

through xlr balanced.Though I did not really try pushing it as hard through the single ended

A bass sweep at loud volumes would be an easy way to trigger the overcurrent protection if it’s a similar issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukQ6OSs3dWo

Went home for lunch and to try them out. No initial. I think it would be unfair to judge them. I listened to a few tracks, nothing standing out, but I do think they need to acclimate.

M1570 List: 670g Actual: 665g
M570 List: 420g Actual: 510g
Elex List: 450g Actual: 438g
Burrito: 569g – will sound really good later

Ah yes, the classic burrito for reference

Same here, I want more time with them, and to hopefully try them balanced. They are a bit more efficient than LCD4s and LCD4s need power. I hear nothing broken, but nothing insane either.

To clarify “nothing insane” is in the scope of higher end audio/good headphones.

So far are you thinking they are worth their salt at their price?
