What is the only IEM that you can't stop using right now?

The only IEM you can’t stop using right now is the one that perfectly fits your sound and comfort preferences.

Yeah that is true, and right now when it comes to that, my Elysian Pilgrim pretty much replaced the the Aful Performer 7 as the IEM that I cannot stop using. Hell, that set even got better once I’ve removed its mesh filter for the sounds became more natural, open and the details are even on point which is one of reasons why I love the Pilgrims now. The sub bass I think got affected a bit, but then again I am not much of a bass head, for I prefer my bass tactile, quality and punchy instead of the usual boomy bass for those to me in my opinion are muddy.

100% agreed! It’s never just about the sound, fit and comfort are the real game-changers. You can have stellar audio, but if it digs into your ears after 10 minutes, you’ll be swapping IEMs nonstop.

I’ve found a new mids-monster. Female vocals are stellar on the Westone Mach 70 - 7 in-house developed and manufactured BAs, in Colorado no less.

My closest set to the Mach 70 is the Hifiman RE2000 Pro silver and while good they don’t quite match the clarity and sweetness of the mids. Otherwise they seem redundant for me.

The Westone tips don’t work for me but cutting one of the stock inners and placing it on the nozzle first allows the use of ‘regular’ tips for wider bore IEMs. Thank the Gods.

Beats Fit Pro. I’ve chosen podcasts over music more often lately, and if I’m working out they’re the only choice I’d go for.

For a few windows of music, AFUL Explorers.

Not a fan of TWS adapters? Or you need the ANC?

ANC is part of it, but no interest in TWS adapters anyway, at least for workouts.
I don’t want to spend money just to put IEMs in the way of sweat, dust, accidental drops. I was lucky to buy the Fit Pros for $50 a year or more ago so they’re a great value, work well with my phone, and the tuning is more than passable for “music while I work out”

I’ve considered adapters for non workout settings, just cable free convenience, but it’s luxury expense for just that perk… and introduces something to keep charged vs wired.

you dont need to spend that much for this combo though. like a Z300 + TRN BT20XS

I know. Just so I can listen to something wirelessly when I already have the Fit Pros. That’s what I’d describe a luxury. I don’t like how the Z300s sound anyway / other offerings in that price bracket barely sound better than the Fit Pros.

If I’m listening for pleasure I’d like to get pleasure out of it (proper set, and I don’t mind the wire), if I’m listening for a workout the Fit Pros are already in my possession and offer more functionality than a budget IEM/hook pairing.

We all have different priorities but I’m not interested in dropping $20-$60 for gym hifi when it’s not a need for me.

Just can’t get the Letshuoer Mystic8 out of my ears. I have to send it to a friend for review tomorrow, but I love the sheer resolution this pair packs.

It was just an example, you dont need it for sure if you already have a tws and happy with it.

Hmmm, I think this one is gonna change on me again once my best friend gets a seller who is legitimately selling a great set of Elysian Gaeas, and that is probably gonna be my next IEM set, and probably a good one from moving on from the failed transaction that I had with the Mega5EST. Also the tuning is apparently unique, like it’s shouty but not shouty and I am really hoping that I will really like it once I get a hold of it and of course paying my best friend for it once he gets his hands on it.

Right now though, it’s still the Pilgrims for me and for the budget side, it’s the Bunnies.

It´s such a great set and gets more and more positive reviews which is really well deserved imho :+1:

Kiwi Ears is on a roll. Both the Septet and Etude are captivating me at the moment. Celebrate the differences!

Even though most of my sets would rather qualify as generalist and work more than just fine for most of my tracks I’m a hopeless sucker for some variety. OTOH there’s no need to go overboard and I’m happy with my current rotation of 5+1 sets; haven’t bought anything new in a good while now. YMMV.
