ZMF suede pilot pad attached to the Aeolus, I’ve asked about the Suede strap replacement if available I’ll pick it up.

This from ZMF… “Just saw your order - one note - the suede headband in the Zeos video really only works for heads that are below a 7 and 1/4 hat size as it takes away some of the vertical play on the headband. Otherwise the leather strap is great - they really are equally comfortable IMHO!”

I put the Suede Pilot Pad back on my TH-X00 PH headphones… back to the stock leather strap.

Why did I put the pad back on the TH-X00? Mostly because I like the look of the Aeolus without it… So mostly aesthetic reason.
I play intermittently across Switch/X1X/PC… depending on what game I’m playing…as of late mostly been playing on X1X or switch…

Thanks Max. My impressions? Zeos covers these very well in his review and I agree with everything he said. Everything sounds amazing in these headphones. They are extremely comfortable. I love these headphones. I would have paid double for them. These are the kind of thing that you take care of and hand down to your kids. I’ll never sell these. It was worth the 10 week wait to have them built for me.

I agree with Tommy. These are by far the most pleasurable cans I’ve ever owned or listened to. They aren’t neutral. They are better than neutral. Everything is perfectly detailed and the sound positioning is unlike anything I’ve heard. It’s like you’re inside the music as Z stated. There’s a subtle reverberation that makes everything sound better than the original sound source. It’s very difficult to explain. It’s magical. Everyone who loves music should get to experience these.
You’re getting what you’re paying for, and then some with Aeolus.

this looks better then when i look at mine with my own eyes, stahpp. That one cable doesnt look like a periapt cable, where did you get them?
Haha the photo is kinda more saturated than in real life but they are truly beautiful no matter what. I made those cable myself 
tastefully done, i could easily see those being third party
how much was that in time and materials? any soldering? how difficult would that be for a first timer?

Aeolus pilotpad comfort mod from ZMF
so i’ve recently been in discussion with Zach and his wife about the pilotpads relatively to the Aeolus’s and was wondering what the general consensus about their pilotpads are for those of you who have owned them or has researched them for the Aeolus’s. Thanks

Well I posted pictures of the suede pilot pad on my Aeolus up above, I thought it was super comfortable but, I would recommend getting taller rods, as it takes up a bunch of room. I don’t have a problem with the leather strap…but I did order the suede strap to be added to my Verite order. From my understanding the suede strap is a happy medium. The pilot pad is like putting a pillow on your head lol.
