šŸ”¶ ZMF Aeolus

Yeah 7 1/2 hat and decently tall lol. Suede fits fine tho. Just was curious about lambskin because I’ve never tried it.

I do mean the same thing…granted I spent a lot of time bending my headband into proper shape…followed Zach’s tutorial, but it still is a pain in my ass.

The HD 650 has come up in a few different discussions as being a ā€˜standard’ for evaluation. Like a general baseline/reference headphone.

Apologies for being the ADD kid going off topic.

I have two clicks left on each side from the largest lol. Suede probably has a little to do with it haha.

I actually find the sennheiser headband on par with other headphones. I have never understood the love for it, but then again…I have a big head (at least it is proportionate to my body, lol).

650 headband is butter to me. I had a 650 headband attached to my hd800s for a while. Lol

When you find that comfort zone, why not try it on other things? I completely understand. Don’t get me wrong, after carefully and properly bending the metal arms of my HD650, it is quite comfortable. Out of box though, it is like trying to fit a horseshoe on a boulder, lol.

It is tight out of the box lol. I had mine on a stack of books for a bit.

If only the HD700’s didn’t sound like supersonic audio homicide…most comfortable headphones I’ve ever worn.

Really? That headband looks so heavy. I like the aeon. And the HD600 series. The hd800 would be perfect with a little more cushion on top. And of course the zmfs are comfy.

My sennheiser was pretty damn snug too. I didn’t notice how snug it used to be until I got the jubilees and was like ā€œdamn that’s tightā€. I let it break in naturally though. Too afraid to bend ha.

They arent as heavy as they look. The cable is one of the worst ever stock and they sound like shit…so I guess they better be comfy, lol.

God I can’t get over how good these sound. I’m flipping through so much different music and nothing sounds bad for these. They’re so versatile I swear.

Edit: my bad grammar lol. Like it never happened! :flushed:

It may sound silly, but from what many have said about the Aeolus, I’ve likened it to… the Porta Pros. Full, warm, and generally pleasant non-fatiguing sound.

I actually half jokingly call the Porta Pros ā€œBaby Aeolusā€.

Haha nice. I haven’t heard those yet. But yeah basically. I’m amazed how detailed they still are with the worth. They’re very smooth but at the same time very active and engaging. It’s a good combo. Of course These are my first ā€œhigh endā€ headphones so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about ha. They’re very fully sounding still. Imaging is actually very good compared to what I’m used to.

ā€œI’m hearing things in songs I’ve never heardā€ saying is actually true for me now ha.

I have to pull out other headphones to do side by side but I’m just to busy falling int love with these ha

Funny you say that as currently I am wearing my porta pros with yaxi pads.

The Aeolus and Auteur are the two ZMF’s that I hear these kind of comments.

You should get a Porta Pro. Cheap, and pretty awesome, especially after getting Yaxi Pads.
