šŸ”¶ 7HZ Timeless Planar

Oh, as for the box’s sharp edges, take a small piece of fine sandpaper, gingerly rub those edges and all done in 1 min.

The box allows the iem to stick upwards some, so it’s not as tight fitting as it looks.

My random browsing of my library bought me to this which I’d not heard for a while and holy crap it sounded good.

These are some mighty fine iems and the vfm is off the scale bonkers.

I have published my first video review of the timeless, tea and dusk.

I would love constructive criticism! Let me know what you think!

Just a quick thought and I know it’s your first.

  1. Sound is very important and you may want to invest in a good mic that doesn’t artificially suppress noise (doesn’t have to be expensive, even a sub $20 lav mic will do).
  2. Simpler shots of the items with not so much going on is actually enough (I like your inclusion in movement in the shots though, so keep that up).
  3. I like that the background music isn’t distracting. Many people don’t get this right, and for a first attempt, good job.
  4. Don’t forget to use the new YouTube time marking

Anyway, nice job.

My environment has some noise. I had to digitally filter it and then boost the volume. Otherwise the voice was too soft. I am working on a better arrangement for this.

I have an unlisted version that is better quality but lower volume. I could send that over to you privately to see if it is preferred. All the earlier private feedback said to make my voice louder. So I used software filtering to do it.

Not the first to say that. Will work on that in future reviews.

Awesome! Was going for subtle but present.

I honestly probably won’t for sub 10 minute videos meant to be viewed as a whole. I actually had both titles and markers in one version and I found it took away from the experience. I could add markers for build, soundstage, resolution, tonality and comfort ā€œsectionsā€ but probably not more than that.

Thanks for the feedback!

Markers for major sections should be enough. Not for every sentence, I’d hope :wink:

My understanding is my channel is to new for markers to appear. I have added them. Maybe they will magically show up.

Will add them in the future to major sections even on short videos.

I could be wrong but the markers might take some time to appear. I’ve noticed that markers tend to be missing on newly uploaded videos.

Ex: Passion For Sound channel has markers in it’s video reviews which aren’t there when freshly uploaded.

Nice work! I like the format, especially the inclusion of specific test songs.

Tried replacing the tips again. It seems to me that SpinFits are unnaturally bright. Normal soft tips are fine. Currently I decided to use Tin T2 original foams, they fit perfectly. Absolute bliss for my ears and the sound gets softer. Especially the highs.

Assuming I would want to jump on the hype train… should I wait for 11.11?

I would not wait 2 minutes to buy this IEM. But that is me. I bought it. Twice.

Spinfits are bright? Interesting. They seem to tone that back for me. What size are you using?

I’ve been using spinfit cp145-S. Small size. Silicon tips sound brighter to my ears then foam tips. This applies even more to SpinFit tips then regular silicon tips.

Seeing all the praise in this thread and from reviewers has me really impatient for my Timeless order. Ordered 10 days ago from HiFiGo and it hasn’t shipped yet

Ah, yeah compared to foam. That makes sense. I don’t use foam, I find it frustrating.

Spinfits CP145 come across as V-shape sound with vocal forwardness, at least to my ears. I use it when I want midbass, for example. I also like it’s vocal part. They are one of my favourite, but they reduce stage (it’s very obvious on EJ07m for example).

First time posting here. Great community!

I’ve ordered Moondrop KATO first, but Shenzenaudio has no stock till the end of this month, so I’ve changed my order and picked the Timeless. I’m glad I did… many great reviews so far, and those who had bad impressions about soundstage so far seems that are because of channel imbalance or something due to bad QC. I hope that my unit arrives without issues. I’ve also bought a Shanling UA1 Pro to use the Timeless on the go, I hope that both pair well.

I’ll try to post first impressions and after 2 or 3 weeks a ā€œreviewā€ (I’m not an avid audiophile and I have little experience, but I’ll try my best)

I guess that I’ll have to wait at least 3 weeks until my order arrives, it has been shipped but I live in Argentina… long way from China.

PD: sorry for my bad english!

Compared to what? Example: any of the wide bore sets, azla earfit, spiraldots, epro all sound brighter than any spinfit to me. That’s why I was surprised about bright comment. In ky collection of tips, they sit at the less bright end of the collection (of stuff I use regularly anyway)

Oh, compared to other small bore. Wide bores increase way more treble than it does.

Also he’s comparing it to foams (they absorb highs).
