My timeless finally arrived. I am late to the party, but finally

My impression after 5 minutes of listening: Finally an IEM that doesn’t need EQ to suit my taste. Should have skipped the Blessing 2. A lot of subbass. Good treble energy. Good resolution. Might not be perfect, but pretty much what I was looking for.

The Timeless is simply endgame if you like planar sound and use EQ. The tuning is perfect in my opinion. The only real upgrade for me would be the Monarch Mk2.

Defo worth giving them a go with a hybrid tube amp too
a cheapish next level boost :+1:

How long are the cables that come with the timeless?
Cable length is somewhat of a concern for my desk setup and nowhere have I seen length specified on a product page or anywhere really and it would really help to know whether I should order a third party cable or not in time so I wont be getting them, have the cable be too short and then proceed to wait x number of weeks waiting for a third party cable to sort out the issue. >_<

Like most 120cm/48" :+1:

Thank you a bunch.

Ill be looking into a third party cable for sure then.

I wouldn’t say it is perfect, but it is pretty good. There is much to like and sooner or later I will EQ it anyways, but the great thing is: According to my taste EQ is totally optional with the timeless unlike with the Blessing 2. For 1x U12T you can get 10x timeless and everyone of them will sound better than the U12T imho.

I just hope it doesn’t brake. I can now understand why @Dynamic got 3x of them

I do really like the OE cable tbh
tried pure Silver, Gold/Silver plated copper
got a 4 core 6N single crystal copper cable on the way
lets see
a $200 set so no need cable mental :man_shrugging:

Thats great to hear.
I would normally live with a terrible cable until a new one arrives, but quality wasnt my main concern its the short lenght wasnt really going to do it for me although to be honest if the cable is really nice then maybe I should just check for an extention rather than another entire cable
perhaps save a few bucks as well.

Havent had a quality wired IEM for years.
So pretty excited for the Timeless to arrive.

I just got them and am running them through a Vali 2+ with a 6sn7 tube and adapter and the soundstage/imaging is AMAZING! I’m so glad I bought these!

Imaging is perfect. Soundstage is super wide if you use foam tips. Open back headphones have even more soundstage but for an IEM it is as good as possible.

I’m done with IEMs and headphones for now.

My impression after 5 hours of listening: my first impression pretty much holds still true - without EQ the timeless destroys the Blessing 2 imho. With EQ (both IEMs tuned to the same target) the picture looks a bit different. Overall I do like the Blessing 2 a bit more, when both are EQed. The boosted bass of the B2 has more impact than the Timeless. I would give a slight edge to the B2 across the frequencies in terms of timbre, but it’s close. The stage is (again) a little bit better on the B2, even tough I think it improved on the Timeless after EQ. The fit on the B2 is also better for me. The only advantage that the timeless has, is that certain fast sound effects are tighter. But while with EQ I give the edge to the B2, it is still close. Last but not least: The EQ I applied to the Timeless is very mild, as there is not much to improve imho.

So if you ask me the B2 is a hard sell. It only outperforms the timeless by a small margin and only in an EQ scenario. Without EQ there is no competition as the timeless takes the cake at around 100$ less. If I had to give a recommendation to someone looking to buy their first IEM and a preference similiar to mine at >100$, I’d recommend the timeless or skip that price region completely and go for something like the Variations. The B2 is only viable if you dislike the timeless sound signature.

I know that we are talking big price difference here, but it seems that lately price on some cases is not really a way to tell performance, I am wondering if anyone has been able to compare the Timeless against Audeze LCD-i3 or LCD-i4? I know the Audeze requires EQ but just wondering how the Timeless holds against the Audeze ones.

Supposedly the Timeless sounds like a LCD-2 classic or LCD-x. The technicalities are better on Audeze cans, but Audeze cans aren’t that musical.

I am wondering if I have a defective B2 Dusk. Granted, I don’t EQ. But the problems I heard were not going to be fixed by EQ. And the timeless felt like it was in a different league.

What music were you using?

All kinds
 Orchestral, EDM, HipHop, Pop, Acoustic,

What problems did you have? I am happy to send you my EQ settings for Equalizer APO. For me the Blessing without EQ sounded just dull. No Treble, not enough Subbass (I have the non-dusk) and the elevated (imho) Midbass just makes everything dull and muddy to my ears. EQ solved all that for me.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way
I don’t know if that helps, but everytime I turn off the EQ on the Blessing 2, it sounds broken to me as well

TBH I don’t think the Blessings compete in their price range half as well as they did a year and a bit ago.

I was just thinking of some faux carbon fiber stickers, but I might have to up my game.
