đŸ”¶ 7HZ Timeless Planar

I honestly didn’t spend that much time evaluating them. I like EQ on the timeless more than most headphones. At the very least, it doesn’t leave me feeling gyped. But did I think xbass or xspace was special? Not really. And this is also true of the micro signature for me (never heard that with timeless though).

Did they do something to the sound? Yes, yes they did. Did I care about it? not really. In either direction. Didn’t love it. Didn’t hate it. It worked. I didn’t feel like any music needed either of them, particularly on the timeless (if anything I would reduce the bass for some stuff on timeless. Looking at pentatonix). And the presence was really only felt on a very small subset of music (and I can’t think of what it was, as I was deflated enough to not bother with notes, knowing the go blu wasn’t of interest to me)

I think the Timeless’s grill is bigger than 4,5mm

It’s 5.0 mm

Did a bit of channel matching by ear and I have to say now that they “match” the right channel doesn’t sound flat like it did before. The stage also feels a bit larger with the imaging being a bit more 3d.

Based on Rikudou_Goku’s review of the P1 Plus with EQ being better than the Timeless I got the P1 Plus and tried it out with EQ. Even with heavy EQ the P1 Plus didn’t get anyway near the bass authority and the immersive character of the Timeless, not by a long shot, for me anyway.

Out of a few test tracks this track made it very clear to me that the Timeless is in another category (the way it takes you along after the drop is what I want in a genre like this):

Have you tried EQ on the Timeless tho?

Try out these PEQ settings if you haven’t:

  • 32Hz +1,50dB Q0,20
  • 150Hz -3,00dB Q1,41
  • 600Hz +1,00dB Q1,00
  • 1100Hz -0,50dB Q5,00
  • 1300Hz +1,00dB Q5,00
  • 1400Hz +1,00dB Q1,41
  • 2100Hz -2,00dB Q4,00
  • 2700Hz -1,50dB Q5,00
  • 3700Hz +1,50dB Q1,41

Hello, do you reckon Hidizs DH80s would be sufficient/good pair with the Timeless? I am in a search of portable battery powered DAC/AMP to use primarily with an Android phone/Tidal. Thnx.

Yes I have it connected with balanced 4.4mm. I can’t max out the volume on the DH80s in high gain mode unless I want hearing damage.

I have 10 rows in the UAPP peq

9 rows are enough. Analog bell should be the right filter.

Those are all peak filters I take it?

Yes, all peak filters. I tested it myself.

The Timeless takes EQ very well, it is an incredibly flexible IEM.

About the only thing it is missing is the traditional impact or slam, but the speed you get in that tradeoff is well worth it.

Special animal, i like it. I never never used eq before ,but the Timeless needs it. Its a Tesco economical endgame iem in the good way

After messing with EQ a bunch and wanting to make the treble more forward with a high shelf filter and encountering exascerbated sibilance, I settled on this.

Linsoul finally shipped my Timeless which i ordered at 10.11. Hopefully there won’t be any surprises like third stealth revision with etymotic filters and Azla tips.
