I would assume tuning foam, as mine got shipped early september and have the foam in the nozzle, no paper filter. Theyre also the one with the wider nozzle diameter
And do we know that those with the paper filter dont also have the tuning foam in the nozzle?

Soā¦ the version that has the boxes (no plastic bags) for the tips is newer? If so, the dampening and filters are different?

I donāt care that much about the boxes (just a neat thing to have your tips organized), but the thing that it is worrying me the most is QC. And as far as I can see, some people donāt agree and donāt like the soundstage and bass impact, but some others say itās fine and love it. I know that sound is subjective, but maybe this few things are tied with QC. Someone said that soundstage may be related with channel imbalance for exampleā¦
I know that tip rolling and burn in must be considerated too (many people says that the Timeless is quite sensitive to this), so I hope is more related to that.
Iām praying to the lord of sound quality

Im a natural born basshead and a true motherf*cking slamwhore, but this bass quantity and slam(almost) enough for me. Im not feel the wow factor yet and donāt want to buy another two pairs, but i think its a very well tuned iem and im satisfied with this purchase

OK, I have listened to my entire headphone test list now, and I am blown away. I completely get why so many people got on the hype train. It has the super fast buttery smooth low impact thing that I expect from a planar, and I am sure it would be weird to people who arenāt planar fans.
The tuning just makes me smile. It has just enough of everything to do what I hope for. It has some sparkle, but isnāt harsh. The bass has some rumble when you want it, and I have no idea how it does that, but there is magic in that black disc.
I am working through my test list a second time with some other ear tips to see what I want for the right tips. I am currently running the blue tips that came with it, and they are interesting, I swear they add some sound stage, how?
PS: It is super responsive to EQ ā¦ I was messing around last night with both APO EQ madness and Voxengo Tube ( there is a VST plugin that loads in APO ), and it eats that stuff up, and sounds exactly like you wanted. The APO EQ / Peace folks will like this IEM a lot.

Pretty sure cables are usually easy to replace. They are will probably just ask for you to cut it in half and send you another one. If you bought it on HifiGO, linsoul, etc, you shouldnāt have a single problem.
I donāt want to rain on anyoneās parade, especially since I have one incomming, but the QC is looking worse by the minuteā¦ Oh Chi-Fi, we missed you for a minute.

Yeah all this variation in production is concerning. I understand we may have sampling bias and small number of reports, but itās still making me hesitant about buying thisā¦especially during 11.11, when production will likely be stretched even more thin to meet demand

Linsoul sale puts these a t $202 without coupons (and I got a 100 for 50 gift card) so Iām out of excuses to give these a try. A little worried by all this variance in them.
EDIT: Hm this is their site not Ali, so I think there arenāt any other coupons to stack besides bargain gift card and sale price.
No sale on the Hekili. Surprising, as itās probably got the most mark-up after they buy them from the guy who makes them and usually sells them for so much less independent of Linsoul.
Does anyone know if the sales will increase during the actual dates (11.11)?
