Currently concidering to buy LC-RC. Could you measure impedance and capacitance of this cable please? (imho need < 0.2 Ohm and < 200 pF). Do you have ability to do this? (impedance of single channel wire and capacitance between channel and common wire)
Sorry I donât have the equipment to do that but you can search in the 7hz thread at Head-Fi where someone has posted info about just that as I remember.
Just buy a cable you like the ergonomics of. Use EQ if you want to change sound, much easier than trying to do it with cables. Also it actually works
Good to hear you are enjoying it.
I expected the bass to make me happy, but the treble doesnât look like something that I would. I think the Timeless taught me that I am not that picky about how the high end is done, and that is probably a good thing.
EQing wonât affect factors such as soundstage though, presuming that one accepts that cable swapping affects such things.
Try the e-pro horn tips. They are fixing everything everywhere with a lot of IEMs for me.
sure. i think you can boost some treble frequencies to give an effect of a better soundstage but that is unlikely to do a lot in actuality. pulling in midbass bloat could definitely have an effect if that is a problem for example.
a cable sure isnât going to do anything eq canât - e.g. improve technicalities of the speaker itself
IIRC, finding these little bastards is hard af. And arenât they a bit expensive, too?
If you are in the US, they are on Amazon:
You know, you raise a point. I probably have more money in tips than I do in most of my IEMs. Such is life. But I do have massive comfort problems. So having the right tip on hand for new iems is nice.
As mentioned, you can get them on amazon. My only gripe is I sometimes want sizes between the three offered.
I love, love, love the Acoustune aet07 that came with Timeless. Theyâre also working for Tea and Mele. I might have a new favorite tip.
I ordered the moondrop focus tips. I am still waiting on those but I have high hopes that they might become new favorite tips.
I liked the AET08 way, but I can see either being the right answer. They were quality ear tips.
Yes, the sub-hobbies are usually worse. ear tips and cables for IEMs. I have bought a lot of tips only to discover I hate them, but that is part of the journey.
Recently got my pair. Loving how wide and great they sound. Only issue I have with them is a mechanical clicking sound in my right whenever I lightly tap it or walk with them in. Honestly a shame since I wanted to use these on the go with my iPod.
It finally got to me and they will be leaving not too late.
I did not burn that, but it is a sound that lacks sparkle, fun, a stage without depth.
I liked the Tea or the Spring 2 more.
For less than ⏠100 maybe together with the aria they are a good purchase.
The following songs sound phenomenal on the Timeless btw.
After burning them in for a couple of days, I gotta say that their timbre and ability to render textures are on a whole â nother level!! Individual songs sound so much more distinct now and full of character. Nothing is âsameyâ anymore with this pair of IEM, they made me re-listen to my entire music catalogue.
I use large yellow bore ones on Timeless and I agree. I bought some spinfit which work well with Starfield but not on Timeless.
These acoustune tips seemed to be the exact same as the kbear07 tips. They bring less bass into the mix than the cp100 tips.
I would usually prefer the king of FR brought by the acoustune, but on the timeless, I find the sound too thin with the aet07.
Oh my LOL ))
Tried to disassemble left problematic IEM with hot air gun (soldering fan) on 100 and then on 150 C
Without success. Cover did not budge even in hot state near 80 C.
During this heating process I held IEM with nozzle forwarded to the bottom (The faceplate and the label were on the upper side).
And now crackle disappeared or triggering level has been increased after heating process âŠ
