šŸ”¶ 7HZ Timeless Planar

Hi everyone, first post
Iā€™m a little late to the party, whatā€™s best price now shipped to EU?

Hello and welcome to HFGF  Maybe AliExpress or depending on country Amazon?

These, with Linsoul on sales day.

I was gonna order the large tomorrow, since itā€™s payday tomorrow
On certain songs, the true truebass on the Zen was great. On others, it just seemed a little too much, but weā€™ll see when Iā€™ve got all the tips in to play with.

Ok, ok, ok, punch my ticket, Iā€™m taking my seat on the hype train.
Iā€™ll be popping my planar cherry with this bad boy.

Using Spiral Dot as my referenceā€¦

  • KZ Starline - Cuts out most sharpness, and seems to slightly lower overall treble level. Weird Al is still moderately rough/fatiguing.
  • FD3 stock tips - Maybe slightly less bright/sharp than SDā€¦or the same.
  • Tape Pro clear tips - Seems slightly brighter than SD.
  • CP145 - A little smoother than SD. Probably slightly smoother than Starline, but I like the Starline fit much more.
  • FD5 balanced tips - Slightly brighter than SD. Too bright!
  • Xelastec - Slightly brighter than SD. Too much. God, I HATE how these feelā€¦
  • New Bee silicon - Sounds slightly brighter than SD. No go.
  • New Bee foam, black - Slightly smoother than SD, and too dark/muted IMO.
  • DM8 bass tips - Sounds slightly brighter than SD. Meh.
  • TIN T2 blue foam tips - A little brighter than SD. Bad.
  • CP100 - Sounds SLIGHTLY brighter than SD.
  • ePro EP00 - Seem SLIGHTLY smoother than SD.
  • Senmagic Premium memory foam tips - Sounds a bit brighter than SD.
  • Timeless black tips - Sounds slightly brighter than SD. Too hard to install.
  • Timeless blue tips - They donā€™t even fit. . .
  • Timeless clear tips - Sounds a bit sharper and brighter than SD.
  • NiceHCK 3-color silicon tips - Donā€™t fit.
  • NiceHCK Spiral red/blue tips - Sounds a touch brighter, and splashier, than SD.
  • BGVP W01 - Sounds slightly sharper than SD.
  • BGVP A08 - Sounds slightly smoother than SD. Really hard to install.
  • BGVP S01 - Sounds a small bit smoother, and darker, than SD. Good.

My new/current conclusion for favorite Timeless tips:
1 - BGVP S01 (best bass & fullest sound of these 4, and least fatiguing treble)
2 - KZ Starline (best fit of these 4)
3 - SpiralDot / CP145 (most detail)

These sound so impressiveā€¦ but I wouldnā€™t say perfect/end-game. They donā€™t have the extreme treble realism of Starlight 4, for one thing, or the deepest, meanest bass Iā€™ve heard from some DDā€™s.

How are they compared with some other IEMs in the price bracket? Also, how large are the nozzles compared with some other well known IEMs? Itā€™s hard to tell from photos.

Congrats to all the new owners. Some comparisons with the FH3 maybe?

I want to know how these hold up against other iems, like the B2D, Oxygen, etc. Was tempted to pull the trigger on these but felt like the KATO was a safer buy since I trust moondrop not fudge up the tuning. Also have the mele on order too. I should really start selling some of my collection to have budget for new iems. My experience with planar kinda sucks, I hated my Hyperx orbits/audeze Mobius even in hifi dac mode, whatever that does. I think theyā€™re trash, especially compared to my pc38x.

I think youā€™ll be happy to hear that the reason for the hype around the Timeless is precisely because it is the first truly well-tuned planar and at a mortal price point at that.

Can someone please try if the TempoTec Sonata E35 can properly power it, or it needs more power

New review : ā€œnot enough bassā€ :frowning:

The treble sounds harsh and fatiguing because not enough bass. I think its not the definition of well-tuned.

Linsoul are doing a giveaway for this IEM, Iā€™ll be trying my luck for it for sure.

Have you heard them? Planars require power, they will always sounds anemic if not given enough power.

Judge them once you provide them with what they need.

Every reviewer fed them right.

Those who have complained about bass have either A) been using dongles or B) not disclosed their amplification.

Those who have praised it for its bass have all had desktop amplification on hand.

If it turns out to be to little bass, just EQ it. Itā€™s a planar.

DTR1 is not a dongle. Who needs using eq.

ā€¦What? What does it have to do with dongles
