The same thing happened to me when I tried to purchase directly from them about 6 months ago. Did you try to use the pay over time option? I did initially, and when that didnāt work I kind of scratched my head, but didnāt think too hard on it. Then I tried to buy the LCDX outright and I too was flagged for fraud. They didnāt seem to care too much when I contacted them and they recommended I buy from Amazon. My credit is excellent and no issues with my credit card when I contacted them, so something is definitely off on their end. Pretty lousy customer service experience and Iām reluctant to buy Audezes again because of it.

Tried to buy it outright. Two separate cards, one try through paypal. Immediate cancellation both times. Audeze is telling me Iām a fraud. My whole life is a fraud apparently. Oh god. To think that buying headphones would lead to a complete breakdown of my perceived reality ._.

Itās crazy and I donāt understand it. I can see it when it comes to the financing side, but using a credit card thatās not maxed out shouldnāt be an issue in any scenario I can think of. They wouldnāt ship until payment cleared, and if you decided not to pay your bills its the credit card companyās issue, not Audezeās.

I canāt comment on that, but Iāve bought stuff from them and it has always gone smooth, good communication, etc. Just because they talk about and make expensive power cables doesnāt make them bad people or a bad company just because others disagree that it matters.

I would disagreeā¦it also shows they like to gouge suckers with false philosophy.
I concede there are circumstances that a cable can make a differenceā¦but that the price caps out quickly in just the double digits (unless you need length that pushes the run into triple digit territory), but to say a bloody power cable needs to break in? cāmon!
It took 3 month for my USB cable from the MacBook to ifi Nano to break inā¦big difference now tho audio broās

So, I noticed today that payment has been taken on both accounts I tried to order the lcd-1 on, even though the orders were immediately cancelled. So Iām now out $800 waiting for them to respond to my fucking ticket so I can get refunded.
What a mess, I wonder if their payment processor was having issues or some sort of attack
Sorry, I had assumed this happened to you, because itās the same thing that happened to me. If your experience is anything like mine, youāll hear back on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and the apology will be less than youād expect. I like Audeze, but I wouldnāt ever buy directly again and the experience in dealing with them makes me hesitant to buy anything they make in the future.
Well, if they hadnāt taken any money from me, I would have just tried placing an order for it over at Moon Audio. But since Iāve got $800 missing from my bank account I guess you could say Iām no longer interested in buying Audeze headphones.
What I canāt get over is the logic in place here. Immediately flag a purchase as potential fraud -> Cancel the order -> Take potentially stolen money (!) from bank account anyway -> Deliver no product. @_@ What kind of madness is that.
My thinking actually went from being excited over these to shifting to, hey, maybe I should just save up for a ZMF Aeolus instead.
Waiting for a refund is gonna be hell. Ugh. Hope no one else deals with this. Iāll post again when things are resolved, but until then, I guess Iām out.
