I think the lcdx is one of the prettiest cans. I like the all metal/leather look. Looks manly, industrial.

Yeah, I don’t think I’ll let them go. It’s my first ‘proper’ headphone, and they sound really good.
I plan on adding headphones in the future.

I actually ordered ZMF pads and received them today. I also bought a Pilot Pad. Really nice leather.

Yeah, I’m in no hurry.
I’ll be ordering a Bifrost 2 within the next month. After I’ll save for a Matrix X-Sabre Pro MQA to pair with an SPL Phonitor.
I might throw in another headphone between dac purchases.

I’m struggling to EQ my pair. Anyone have a suggestion? I’m on a mac so I have to use a 31 peak via Boom.
If you want you can use the audeze reveal plugin to start off with to see how that sounds, as it’s simple to do

It doesn’t help me with my system EQ tho. I don’t have Q values, just peak.
Opinions on LCD-X vs LCD-2, considering a preference for warmth and current open back stable of M560, M570, M1070, Elex, HD58x, Aeon Open X, 4xx, X2, SHP9500, and Koss UR-40? I listen to a lot of vinyl and Tidal, primarily vocal jazz, classical, classic rock, and folk/Americana. I auditioned the LCD-2 at the same time as the Utopia, HD800, and LCD-4 at a shop, and the LCD-2 was my favorite of the group. I’m hoping one of these might replace a few in the current collection.
Hmmm, well if you already like the lcd2, I would go with that lol. The lcd x is more detail forward, more intimate, and a bit more aggressive. Also not as prominent in the midrange as the lcd 2. For average listening I personally preferred the lcd 2 over the x, but for studio I would pick the x (but I had other headphones for that). Also the fact that you can find used LCD 2 for around 500-600 is a really good deal imo
