But yeah without building your own, the easiest way is to get ones that are hd700. Nice and slim so they fit in fine.
The balanced ones I listed on amazon were only like 50 too though.
Or you can go through the wait and get the hart cables.
Yea, I was thinking about making one from scratch since I have some spare parts from Aliexpress already. Was just having issues finding slim enough 2.5mm connectors. I bought these off Amazon but they were too fat:
I can better swallow buying earpads because I donāt have sufficient knowhow yet to make them myself. But in this case when I know that the only difference is that the single ended has the grounds tied together and the balanced does not, and Iām capable of doing it myself, I canāt justify to myself spending an extra $30. (Yea thereās a time cost but Iām dumb like that)
Edit: I will take shortcuts if the cost of materials is close enough to the retail price of the entire cable haha. I recently bought an XLR extension and cut it in half to make a cable for my Argons.

If you saw my ugly ass cables, you wouldnāt want it. I use a multicolor box of heat shrink so color matching is out the window lol.

Wow I missed a lot.
If weāre talking about cables, funny enough, the 1More Triple Driverās cable actually fit in the Nighthawk too. So you need something that is a little bit narrow in order to fit in there.
If I had to criticize one thing about these headphones it would definitely be the cable. Itās so huge and bulky, and I find it quite cumbersome for walking around the house. With it being silver plated, the silver has tarnished quite a bit and even worn away some with the copper beginning to show. It also spins around some when plugged into my phone, when I try to move it.
Sure the cable isnāt ever going to snap, but it isnāt the best for portability. I wouldnāt be lying to say I am on the lookout for a good replacement cable for these.

Very curious what you think lol, although first impressions with the nighthawks are very spotty at best lol. Just make sure to give them at least a few days of extended listening before you make your final decision lol

Yep, echoing what M0N said, before making any first judgements about them, it is best to give them a lot of time to get used to them, as many do not like them at first, but given time, they like them more.

When I first listened to them my initial response was āeh?ā, their sound signature is very different and initially I found them muddy and with no detail and frankly it was all just very weird. I didnāt like them at all, apart from the comfort which was top notch from the first time I tried them and an example other manufacturers should copy. However give it time and there is a silky smoothness and wonderfully relaxing quality to the sound which is really rather wonderful.

Iām enjoying the sound on these beauties so far! The real question will be how they perform at work. I might have to adjust my listening habits and listen at a lower volume so I donāt bother people. If it becomes a problem Iām not sure what Iāll do!

Itās actually pretty good imo, so Iām reluctant to cut off the jack to make it balanced. I ordered 2.5mm connectors from Aliexpress but gotta wait for those. Decisionsā¦

I wish you luck in doing that. I will give you a fair warning that I almost did with one of my NewFantasia cables, but I decided not to because I was afraid that it would be a 3-wire at the split. That wouldnāt work for a balanced cable.
I am curious if you do decide to proceed with it.

I keep being surprised by songs or music that surprisingly does extremely well on these. Decided to try the clash, I mean why not right? Daaaaang. Straight to hell just took me straight to heaven.
