For the time being yes
They are different, and they are like 1a to 1b in comfort vs my 95x, these pads are softer and the seal is better on these compared to the 95x. They are both so light and float on my head. Iām still trying to figure out sound. I can tell you I dont hate it, so I will prob. be in the love it crowd. Also I was only able to listen sparcely as my day job is a data analyst so being chill is not conductive to the environment there LOL. Will touch base after a few hour long session tonight.

So on my home rig it is funky LOL, man the soundstage is so weird, I love how it can change the locations and presence of sounds so well. I think they are staying on my head the rest of the night at this rate smhā¦

Lol. Pretty sure you ordered first so I donāt think thatās the case. Perhaps they were receiving more nighthawk orders than expected so they decided to up the price at the same time I placed my order?
Anyway I found one new / open box for about $170 (incl shipping and tax) & should be arriving next week. Yay

Ok followup, forgot, I hate the cable, good thing we had a spare 2.5mm m1060 cable around, it is significantly better outside of microphonics.
Sound: they have about,made me sleep for the last hour. They are calming for a lack of better word. NTR described it as comfort food and Yepp dude had it right lol. Bass is present and warm. Id say natural but with some punch and rumble when needed. Mids are ok, but you can tell something is missing if you pay close attention, or on a small percentage of songs. I just blew through like 20+ songs and I had to force myself to cut some early to keep moving on. Only 2 or 3 didnt sound the best. Vocals are good, and have good tone and character in almost all situations. Treble is fine, I can hear sibilance, but itās not painful so I dont care LOL. It is darker but not by much, overall I prefer the treble on the Nighthawks over the LCD2C due to the energy it brings. Iām sold and they will be in the rotation. Now to see the gaming performance Also I lean towards the pleather pads over the suede. Both are good sounding though and I prefer the suede in comfort.

Question, any of you crazy ppl, I mean fellow pact of the 9th circle members try shure 1540 Alacantara pads on these puppies? I personally am suprised by how good they sound with them, but I could be full of it so just looking to see if anyone else tried or will try this.

So I sent an offer to an eBay seller in Germany for an open box pair, demands 289 + shipping and I offered 240. If not I will try to import one from the US. Letās see if I am worthy enought to join the cultā¦

@Mufflertape I donāt think those would work for these, since they are shaped so differently. You certainly could try though.
Also, if you are finding them sibilant ever so slightly, try to get used to the suede pads instead. I found the treble to be too much with the protein leather even if you find it more comfortable, and there is more bass impact with the suede as well. Much more full, rich sound imo.
