I think it will get more resolved the longer you use them. Suede pads are for sure the way to go.
Didnā€™t know the 1540 pads fit these! This is interestingā€¦

Any ideas where to look/shop to find specific keys? I just want to mod my backspace and space bar. I canā€™t find anywhere with backspace.

No luck, the seller only goes down 5 euros. He can keep itā€¦

Aw bummer! I hope you can find some eventually!

The thing I will never understand is why some sellers select the make an offer option in eBay if they are not going to use it. Anyway, if any of you guys see one for sell in the US at a reasonable price let me know I will check it outā€¦ Thx

Aaaaaaaa
Yā€™know Iā€™m surprised how well the little Apple headphone dongle is working as a makeshift dac for my Asgard. Itā€™s tempting me to spend the $250 Iā€™m saving up for on the Nighthawks rather than the Multibit card addon for the Asgard-

You would have to poke holes into the shure pads to fit into the rings.

I may try for shits and giggles since I have the alcantara pads coming in tomorrow for my noirs. I actually literally just tried these pads on the mezes however. Popped out the rings and slid them on. Actually sounded pretty damn decent and was so much more comfy than the noirs pads, as they are so small. They were a little loose but stayed on okay. I think the alcantara pads would have to be stretched a bit to fit on the rings which wouldnā€™t be to easy. Iā€™d imagine it would open them up a bit and probably lose some bass.

If I hate the alcantaras on my noirs I will give it a shot and let yā€™all know.

For science!!!

Ahhhhh nevermind. I see you tried already lol. Good job haha. Looks kinda neat. Iā€™ll say that.

Iā€™m still switching between the suede and leather myself. For some songs the suedes bass just comes in too hot. But def more comfortable.

Hey, donā€™t poke holes in the pads, you donā€™t need too, it works with out it. just be careful removing and placing them on the retention ring etc.

Sound: to me they lose some sub-bass, but the mid bass get punchy and the sound is really clear overall, it sounds more balanced.

Yeah I wouldnā€™t have unless I needed to. Does it need a bit of a stretch to get over? I will probably try it tomorrow to see for myself. Does it affect soundstage at all?

Its only a slight stretch because it settles on the ring nicely after, and for soundstange, to me it honestly made them sound more like what I remember 6xx sounding like but with really good resolution and better bass characteristics and imaging. It would take me listening to them more, but I think its smaller.

Edit: Iā€™m including a pic of the back with the retention rings for comparison. To remove start on the narrow side and carefully remove the stock pad. To place the 1540 pad start with the top fat end and work down on the retention ring. Its worked pretty easy that way.

Interesting. Yeah I think Iā€™ll give it a shot.

Thanks, I appreciate it, cus I donā€™t know if its worth others trying, my initial impression was strong though and I hope you like the sound changes, I will be letting mine burn in while Iā€™m at work tomorrow.
