So I detached two of the little clips found on lanyards and clipped them onto either side of the elastic suspension, which stops each side from slipping further into the headband.
So far it works!

Ayyy nice, that’s a pretty smart solution

Can you post a picture? I’d love to see it!

Sure!
The clips are too big to slip into the headband along with the suspension strap, so it keeps the cans from sliding up on my head.

Unfortunately you can see that the clip’s little teeth damage the leather suspension strap and I’m not sure the indentation will go away

Got it. Thanks for the pics!

I’d try to find some clips that don’t have the serrated teeth or wrap them with something like a bandage or tape

Yeah, I’ll give that a shot, but I’m not sure the clips strength alone is enough to keep them in place.
I’ll keep fiddling with it to find some better solutions

Perhaps tying a rubber band around or some cloth?

Maybe there is something you can loop around and tie a knot to stay in place and keep it from adjusting?

I gave in and bought the NH C’s. A few observations after very short period of time listening. Ifi Zen as source.

Much less veiled sounding than expected - though maybe they were already ‘broken in’ since I bought used. Interested to find how the ear burn in goes.

They leak more than I expected from descriptions I had read. Not crazy, but something to factor in.

More comfortable than I was expecting
like really comfortable, not just acceptable.

The cable is
 yeah. It really is bad
but I can deal until I replace it.

I can see where these would be hit and miss with certain genres, but so far I think they sound great. Kudos for all of the recommendations!

Note: I do use a basic eq to cut out some lower mids on most headphones
doesn’t sound ‘weird’ without the eq though.

Well glad you are enjoying them :+1: they are just pretty unique and fun to listen to in my experience

Definitely agree, they are very comfortable. I think that tends to get understated because of their unique sound. Overall they have a really nice build that I don’t think translates well from the pictures and youtube. Initially looking at pictures of them I felt they were pretty ugly. They do actually look and feel very nice.

I agree lol. They didn’t look particularly nice on the internet. Look pretty good imo in person

I guess I would qualify as well.

Zen + NH

Tho both are in separate locations.

Get the new fantasia m1060 cable for these on amazon.

so after listening to these for that first week then avoiding them for a week (except burn in
tons and tons of burn in) I think the weirdness has revealed itself to me
I think going from the dt770 (or anything in quick succession) to these helped with that revelation lol
they’re really quite good with the heresy in that (much like the 650) it brings up the highs just a bit (but that could just be what a neutral amp sounds like compared to an xd05+ and ls) which can be beneficial to the cans mentioned
needless to say I really enjoy these and they’re not going anywhere

I’ve finally got them in my hands. They’re definitely a keeper, at least because they’re way more comfortable than any over-ears I’ve had before. Let’s see if the sound changes. The way it is now, though, I tend to turn up the volume pretty high if I want to fully enjoy the details.

Once you get them worked in you shouldn’t have to crank then as much. Also which pads do you prefer (if you have tried any yet)

Suede is new to me so it felt weird at first. I tried the leathers for a bit after that. Maybe I didn’t snap it in properly, but the leather pads made the sound from left and right feel a little bit too seperate. I ended up enjoying the suede more after changing back to it, but I can’t exactly tell why (besides bringing the music back to center).
