šŸ”¶ Audioquest NightHawk

Okay so upgraded from a Magni and Modi 3 to an Asgard 3 and Topping E30 and good god. It sounds like I am in my car with subwoofers when I listen to hip-hop now, and I love it. Going from HD600 to these now is so much different; before it felt like there was a difference, but now the difference is EXTREMELY clear.

I can definitely see why Iā€™ve seen some people describe these as a ā€œspeakerā€ presentation because it kind of feels like that now for me. The bass feels extremely boosted, but it doesnā€™t drown out the mids or highs like you would think. When the bass hits on Me and Your Mama it literally sounds like Iā€™m near the front row at a concert. I love these things so much lol. Upgrading my AMP/DAC honestly gave both of the headphones I use all the time new life that I didnā€™t even know it had. Today was so fun!

Dude, you arenā€™t joking. It seriously sounds like I have a woofer right next to my head. Itā€™s so fun though, Asgard giving it all the power it could ever want lol. So much more impact.

Now I know why people are like ā€œpls get an ampā€ when someone says ā€œYeah bro, I run my 6xx with my phone and it works fineā€

I agree. I think there is a normal misconception between getting sound through the headphones versus properly powering them.

I have the same setup except using the multibit internal dac for the Asgard 3. My Nighthawks slam like I am wearing subwoofers on my head as well. Very enjoyable.

desire for Asgard 3 to pair with Nighthawks increases

I do love them with my Liquid Spark but Iā€™m looking at the A3 as a potential next upgrade.

Ok, slight controversy, the nighthawk slam like my JBL L122 slams in a big room, speaker like but, slightly removed from like a real sub. For me if I want to hear a sub woofer I use IEMs. Certain IEMs can have a better impact imo. For overall presentation I do appreciate the Hawks tho

Slight? My god man!! You should get 50 lashes with a wet noodle for that outrageous comment!!! LOL!!

Iā€™ve got some IEMs that slam so I know what youā€™re talking about. And itā€™s like itā€™s straight into your brain so itā€™s a different experience. Really rattles things around in there.

Thatā€™s a great price if theyā€™re in good shape, given how tough theyā€™ve been to find (especially new) lately.

Thatā€™s a steal! Great job!

Looks.like the seller had two sets, bnib, 200 USD. No international shipping. Iā€™ve been watching eBay Canada and only ever see expensive ones there.

Honestly, trying to find these at the moment myself. Bought a copy on ebay for around the $200 margin as well but the guy cancelled on me stating he forgot to take the post down and refunded my money. Apparently, he sold it to another person outside of ebay. What a shameā€¦ I really want these headphones

Keep looking, Iā€™m sure they will pop up for you eventually.
They are not as rare as some headphones at least.

I keep seeing them on usaudiomart.comā€¦ At least last weekend their were still some available

I keep on thinking about the easy money I have to could make by selling mine. But dang, finding a warm headphone with the technicalities of the hawks that also runs off perfectly solid state like my xduoo and is technically easy to drive is impossible. It just feels like everytime I want to sell it for easy cash I canā€™t find a proper reason to do so considering how often I use them for a sizeable chunk of my library
