Ah, they are still choosing to hold onto you. They have some kind of power that is hard to describe.
They r really really good for the price. I mean, only after buying the sundara was I able to appreciate them more. Because at 250 I was able to get crazy worth detail, cohesiveness, Soundstage, warmth etc etc. Itās such a niche headphone in many ways too that I think it was even harder to appreciate. While a beautiful all rounder like the sundara would be easy to call a good purchase
Itās become pretty hard to find theseā¦ been diggin around came up with nothin outside the $400 which people started selling these at the $200-$250 range. If someone does see these for sale at a good point and donāt care to buy them for themselvesā¦ Feel free to shoot me a messageā¦
thatās true, iāve seen many at 300 and 400. Iām stilll considering selling the nighthawks because i could use some cash. Ill message you if i decide to sell them
Definitely appreciate it.
still not sure if i will sell mine, but honestly i would suggest looking into this one. since i would only sell them for this same price. 250 and up
oh wow, you should really buy these, everyother US one is north of 300 lol.
I heard some complaints on the normal nighthawk with itās cables. whats the big diff between this and carbon? Also that copy looks pretty beat up doesnāt look like he took good care of it.
Word on the street is the carbon has a more āagreeableā sound comparatively and also comes with the suede pads a lot of folks tend to choose for the added bass slam they deliverā¦ canāt seem to purchase the suede pads separately either which is a bummer
Ah ok. So then itās the carbon I need to be going after. Was going to put a wanted ad on head-fi but my accounts not old enough lol. gotta wait a month.
Is the nighthawk better in your guys opinion compared to nightowl?
Iāve heard that the sound signature is like the hawks. but closed. However the big difference is apparently the presentation, where it presents the sound more like a normal headphone. PERSONALLY, i donāt think thatās a bad thing but i know that most people like these headphones specifically for the presentation.
@Falenkor I bought a backup pair of brand new nighthawks carbon from Amazon for $250 at the beginning of March. I can stop hoarding them if you are interested.
alright well. I will look into purchasing them. like i Said thats if I can even find one for that matter but definitely need to try and find the carbon nighthawks
That was fast. I will pm you.
i feel the same way actually. Though my Hawks are objectively the highest-end thing I have I still feel like I need a decent complementing headphone to fully appreciate it. ā¦well, that, and i also think i want something on the bright side because iām starting to get a lil tired of warmth all day (hope that doesnāt end up being another audio goose chase though)
and with that I now have a copy of the nighthawk carbon on its way. of Which I will not be parting with cuz its friggin discontinuedā¦ why discontinue a damn good product if it has issues just correct themā¦
It came out in the wrong time in the market imo, when it came out the market was really leaning towards bright and analytical āhifiā sound, and hawks are not that lol, and was not well received by a fair amount of reviewers because of how different it was (and also imo they didnāt really give themselves enough time to get used to the sound), but really liked by actual longer time owners of the hawks, so that turned off some people. Also the initial price was way to high, so that hurt it as well
Well to say the least I wanted a great warmer sounding headphoneā¦ anytime I have asked people itās always brought up with the nighthawk carbon and any review I have seen they say this thing is just incredible for what it doesā¦ Even if I Donāt like it I have a audiophile friend whoās been after these and his birthday is next month. Though, to be fair I am pretty sure I will enjoy these. I was shocked that they were originally that high of a price tag only to drop to around $200.
When they were still being produced, they were around 500-400, and then when discontinued, the retailers started really dropping the price on them
Things might be looking up!
