I donāt mind the recessive bass. I find the he5xx bass amazing clean room filler bass, The Arya should be better.
I sold my t1.3nd, I regret it.

Weird to have that very pair on my head as I read this.
so get a new one lol, you can find them cheaper now on the used markets
yeah, I think youd appreciate arya then. well that or maybe what was the alternative the 6se?
I think iāve seen a pair go for around $550 on ebay.
sounds about right, I would pay around roughly $600 for oneā¦ more than that and its kind of a stretch in my opinion. Though I seen them show on reverb for like $750 ish
You can get 2nd gen for like $400 - $500 for I guess its not out of the question to be a bit more since it is the newer model
Yeah the one selling below 600 sold pretty fast. I was considering picking up a 2nd pair to maybe replace this one which has cosmetic wear but it was gone.
That was my concern with it too
So yeah, to confirm prices on the T1ās headband seems to be universal between the 3 generationsā¦ The headband is not replaceable easily. Either a full creative modification is needed or you have to shell out $200-$375 to repair the headband. The cushion will obviously wear down and from the looks of mine which is now finally starting to giveā¦ the seams of the headphone seem pretty weak that holds the foam in. Got the price check from consolidated who does the repairs for beyer. Email response below incase you guys are wondering about potential repair yourself.
The head cushion is only replaceable as a complete unit with new ear cup yokes. That is part #916293 which costs $340 plus our labor of $35. However, I have some like new parts that I could sell you
for around $200. Let Me Know.

This price honestly turns me away from the T1 quite hardā¦ I love the headphone but that price is justā¦ ridiculous. I donāt see why they canāt fix thisā¦ the 1990 has 4 screws that holds that headband into placeā¦ theres no reason why beyer canāt implement an easy way to fix this headphone yet failed to do so in the 3rd revision
So if we are talking T1 Gen2, the german beyerdynamic website lists the headband with the clamp things for 65ā¬. No need to get the whole thing.
Thatās rather odd, unsure how to go about feasibly unclamping the plastic without breaking itā¦ assuming theres a lock mechanism but I am going to question consolidated on that part
Edit: I went ahead and sent them a questioning email. I see this same part but for the original T1 first gen on the US website but with a Contact Us buttonā¦ the original T1 had real leather for its headband while the 2nd gen has leatherette material. Though I find it a bit irritating to get quoted well over $300 supposedly with only $35 labor yet on the EU website it clearly is not an all in one piece and its nowhere near that price point.
Curious if anybody knows how to unclamp the plastic pieces on the T1 without damage
I think the plastic pieces are just clipped togetherā¦seems like it. I guess they will break when opened.
Curious to see what they tell you. Such high part cost seem crazyā¦
That was my thoughtā¦ almost $400 for just a headband? Thats about the cost of this thing on the used markets in mint condition these days its insane. It does look like youd have to break the plastic clamps to get it open and what notā¦ but at this pointā¦ honestly if they are going to try to rip off those in the USA I would sooner just cut this headband off and thrown on one of the other headbandsā¦ its the same size as the other beyers after all. I will chime in later when they respond, more than likely with some bs reasoning. Obviously was lied to about it involving yokes in the order.
I just want to chime in here on the response. For the record, I did claim it was only the head cushion that has an issue and he tried to get me for that cost.
response was simply
I can just replace just the head cushion if everything else is intact and that part is only $82 on the 2nd gen plus the $35 labor.
So good news on that front i guess! i think 82$ is fine
beyer USA selling a used pair in āgoodā condition of the ninja blacks for 500$
edit: looks like as of 8/14/21(when i posted this) they have 17 pairs.
And here i thought after banging my t1 headband and scuffing it that a replacement wouldnt be so bad. I was hoping the amiron headband would fit. I like that headband.
This solution doesnt look so bad i guess.
Yeah, from the looks of it since mine is coming off literallyā¦ it appears to be using some kinda of adhesive in the plastic clamp sliders that eventually just wears out. Absolutely awful design idea as its doomed to fail out. Honestly, $82 + $35 may be cheap but we canāt even just buy the headband padding here in the USA which is bothersome as I would prefer just to replace the padding myselfā¦ at that cost you can just save money and replace it with like the custom pro headband, amiron, whatever as all of them are roughly the same sizing.
I wonder if the t1 shares the same design as the amiron wireless on its clamps.
This video shows some fail points for the amiron wireless and shows that the slider clamp housing can slide down and off of the internal clamp.
Hi guys. I have a question for beyers in general. I have been wondering for a while. I have tried a few headphones and none of them imagine like beyers. I tried the focal clear mg and the hd800s. Both are technically wise superior. But the imagine is not as crystal clear or natural as the t12nd. The hd800s have more mid information, more detail overall. But the imagine is not as natural. The soundstage of the hd800s is taller but width seems similar to the t1.2nd. Maybe is just the midst that make the width sound closer. Any thoughts or opinions?
Iād agree with that, the 800s have a larger and wide presentation with very sharp imaging, but it feels exaggerated space and largeness for fun rather than accuracy and isnāt as naturally placed as the beyer, and for the clear I find the clearās almost spherical spatial recreation to be enjoyable and holographic, but really not that organic compared to other options
