Blon 03 hype thread

Or continually hand out free stuff to your chosen Youtube Hifi review/hype channel? and sit back and wait for your perfect ‘pasta’ to make you a tidy :pound: return??? LOL.

I thought based on many reviews/feedback from owners that the brown blond were more bassy. Is this not the case? If so my curious mind came up with the theory of maybe they are brown ,cause they deliver a darker sound ,relative to the detailed chrome.

I believe the BLON3 caught fire do to the majority of iems at the time were chasing the standard Harmon curve ,and compared to that the blon03 stood out . They are nice if you are new to iems but they aren’t the team of the crop as many talk about
Like many have stated the blons have alot of short comings especially in the fit department, and I’m willing to gamble on younger people being more fanatics of them compared to older listeners. Do to the aging on the ears .

No, there is no consensus at all about the colors sounding different. I have a first batch silver one, and it is warm as fuck and definitely not as detailed as other sets, but I find the tuning wonderful. If it isn’t fit issues, with people not achieving good seals and not noticing, then it’s just quality control issues.

You’re probably right regarding quality controll on any chifi be it fiio ,bgvp, you name it I’ve had my share of issues regarding g that. I got first batch blons also and I think the detail on them are fucking titts ,but as stated quality controll strikes again I guess, and so much for my theory.

Guys, I think I prefer the SpinFit CP145s than the CP240s for my BLON BL-03s. Because, I think the sound is much more refined and natural to me when using a standard ear tip than the double flange ear tip I bought for my BLONs. What I would do though is that, when I am on a commute and in need of absolute sound isolation, I would use the CP240s for that but for general use, the CP145s are good enough.

Double flange never felt right for me, why do you use them?

I wanted to try it overall, and all I can say it’s good for sound isolation, an improvement to the standard ear tips. But my main gripe on the CP240 is that they make the sounds a bit of a downgrade for me, like a decrease on the bass and sound stage, though it did raise the treble a bit.

Does anyone know how well this would pair with a Little Bear B4-X? I’m headed on a long flight and I was considering the Q1mk2 but if it does make tube go, I’d be ok with that.

It would work just fine imo, it’s a hybrid so no issues

The Little Bear B4-X is heavier than the FiiO Q1 II, 240g to 115g.

I dismissed these after a short session when I got them on Christmas. Just tried them again, and actually…I really like them! I’ve been missing out!

I have two pairs, silver and gun metal. They got lots of use until I received the Tri i3. The thing about these little things is that they aren’t specially good at anything but they sound great. They are just fun. Can’t explain it…

Shameless cross post to a relevant location:

hey guys does balanced make a huge difference for the blons? just got my btr5 and have a balanced cable for my other iems just curious if it’s worth to get a new cable for my blons as well.

I would say it’s worth with how cheap you can get a balanced cable for. There is an improvement, but it’s not massive or anything

thanks M0N, you’ve convinced me!

So, about the Blon 03 hype train…

I have had the Blon 03 for about five months now, and have maybe used them just 3-5 days or so. The hype died pretty quickly.

Where’s my chifi super deal that’s not overly bassy and warm?

I like my t2 :man_shrugging:t2:
