Bought the AKG K702. Not happy with it due to pad comfort and overall size of the cups. In search for alternatives

hmm… its possible that it could work then. I just dont like maybes.

Yeah me neither. But the 32 ohm variants of the 880 or 990 are not the best sounding from what I read.

80 ohm really doesn’t really need an amp tbh

it also doesnt appear to come with a microphone on the studio… only the one pro plus does.

I already bought a lavier mic, so tbh I don’t need a built in mic now.

well in that case considering studio has a better sound… Go with that then. It’d be that or the ad series… both are incredibly solid.

Yeah, I would go with that if it didn’t cost 200$ here.

My pc sound card must really suck then… I can’t run 32 ohms on it without full cranking the volume. Might need to look into a seperate mother board

Which motherboard is it?

lmao well then again, go with the alternatives.

Yeah, again :frowning:

Ah, sorry I was asking @Falenkor, we had already discussed yours

for me ASRock Z370 Killer SLI/ac LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370. bought it a long time ago thats for sure. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813157790?Item=N82E16813157790 theres a link to it

Yeah that board doesn’t really have much for audio, so it might not do well with most headphones

Yep, got my liquid spark and topping d10 though so all good here.

I wouldn’t be upset about it… the difference is there but pretty negligible… gaming isn’t all that particularly picky and you mainly rely on your sound stage and imaging more than anything in an fps after that is like bass and treble which can help with footsteps and gunshots and the like… all of the ones we have talked about will fit what your looking for fine.

Ok, I will go for the DT880. I guess that with motherboard only, the 32ohm would sound better than the 250ohm, won’t it?

If you can get a 250 ohm for cheap look into a amp called the Behringer Ma400, it will cost between $20-$40, and will power the 250s which sound a hell of a lot better than the 32 ohms. The 250 ohms almost guaranteed isn’t going to play well with a motherboard less you have a higher end board. Higher end boards can indeed run the 250 ohm headphones and in some cases even the 600 ohms but those are very high end motherboards

thats the ma400

I have ASUS Maximus VIII Hero. I don’t think it’s like the top notch high end, but it’s higher end.
