Budget bassy headphones under 100$?

Never heard them but probably more bass. Enjoy!

Really like this headphone, so enjoyable. Now I feel like re-installing Monster Hunter World just to hear what it sounds like.

My ears fit just right into the cups, the pads are soft enough that it doesn’t push my glasses into my head.

Haven’t listened to another headphone some time, re-listening to music feels like I’m enjoying it for the first time again.

These sound really great all around, especially the low-end. My only other headphone is the AKG M220, which I really like for how clear and wide it sounds.

Really depends on what I’m listening that I’d prefer to switch back. For example “Steve Reich - Music for 18 Musicians”, “Vince Guaraldi - The Charlie Brown Suite: Rain, Rain Go Away”, “Ennio Morricone - The Ecstasy of Gold”, I’d use the M220s.

“Gorrilaz - DARE” using the CAL! makes me feel like I’m a kid listening to this song for the first time again. Love hearing the bassist play on some jazz songs, “Bill Evans Trio - Nardis”, “Alice Coltrane - Turiya and Ramakrishna”. “Vince Guaraldi - Rain, Rain Go Away” (It’s a different version, from the Oh Good Grief Album). “Gary Wilson - Debbie Debbie” really enjoying it on the CAL!.

These are awesome headphones! Thanks everyone for helping me decide on them!

which amp/dac do you use or would suggest for these under-$100 headphones?

A desktop or portable? Honestly I would just wait until you move up higher in the range before you get a dac/amp

you need an intervention

Nah, I’m just a fellow addict. What am I at by now, like 40 headphones? It’s endless lol

convince the bank to loan you money to start an audio shop, but really it’s just for you

Nah lol, I already have to start construction on a fully treated studio, I just have to wait for winter to end so construction can be started, already have designs for the room and building, just need it to not be snowing lol, going to be pretty sick

I was satisfied with just about all of them plugged directly into my phone except the k240 ($75 cad)

This is solid advice

Oh, definitely my wallet likes the advice, thank you @M0N! How about if I take a half step further to $150 with 58x, they’re still efficient but would you recommend getting an amp/dac combo by then?

I suppose I’m just eager to get my first amp/dac also to remove my laptop on-board audio’s hissing noise floor with sensitive IEMs. For portable use, I’m currently using an older iPhone 6s with a jack but I’ll probably be upgrading soon to one without and with that idea I’m thinking of hitting two birds with a stone that won’t break the bank.

Even then, it’s still better than average out of a phone lol. If you did want a portable, I think something like the fiio btr5 is a great choice, or look for a used ifi nano black label. You could also look for a sale on a xduoo xd05

Actually been looking at the btr5 for awhile now but they’re still spiking in price. Instead, I currently have my eyes on the Shanling UP4 and the knob on that thing makes me think it’ll be an alright laptop usb dac?
