There’s three things that can ruin a community with any kind of trade: Scammers, Scalpers and Speculators. I hope that everyone looking at that listing doesn’t offer him retail; I hope that they low-ball him. They are free to post a sale at whatever price they want, but a community sets the standards by which they conduct themselves. Those who violate the trust of the community should be given the chance to make good, IMO. If they fail to do so or prove to be habitual with the violation of that trust, they should be cast out apostate.

Honestly seems a bit more like scalping considering that set wasn’t as mass produced as others for the iem listing. I always understood flipping to be more something that you get cheap then sell at market price or a bit higher, not astronomical prices and scarcity typically associated with scalping lol. Either way whatever you call it, it’s shitty. Headfi has always had a problem with flipping and/or scalping stuff, it’s not really that tightly managed in that regard
I don’t think we’ll really ever have much of a problem here with heavy flipping or scalping here considering most of the people here will just call it when they see it, but for future reference of this thread if you do see really apparent flipping or scalping, just flag the post. Same goes for anything you suspect as scam. Only do that though if it’s a sale post from the specific user, not a post linking to a headfi from someone else or something
