Chi-fi Champs (IEM)

Yeah l know his channel of course ; ]
The zs10pro are very nice. But still tiring and “fun” but not balanced.

The main question is how the 1.1 sound compared with the zs10pro and - more balanced and less V ?
And, do the CP3 and magaosi k5 or Shure for that matter as examples of more expensive BA sets - do these sound that much better ? Are they worth the extra $ ?
; ]

l can still play shows with what l have no problem. But like all of us in this hobby… curiousity is there ; ]

Good choice, the „technical draftsman“ among the In-Ears.
Really neutral and if you have no problems with the length of the tips, maybe the solution.

For the price that would be my choice, but its probably not as practical as some other options. In a pinch, I actually think the InEar ProPhile-8 is something I can master on which is something I can’t say for most in ears, so I would def recommend it for a musician if they wanted a good universal but a bit higher price (but I’m only going to master with an iem if I have to lol)

Oooooo… this looks like high end ; ]
Didn’t know you’re a mastering engineer - cool !

Yeah I do commercial mastering along with my main job (but it’s typically not for music, but I am building a full on studio and want mastering to become my main career)

A great job to have. l guess its key to be able to work on music you don’t personally like. But a cool job nonetheless !

Yeah I don’t know when I am going to go full time and quit my main job (prob a long time before I do that but I def have the gear and know how to do that now if I wanted). I would really love to work with smaller artists for a reduced cost and boost the quality of their output by allowing them to have access to higher end stuff and some more experience. Benefits them so they grow and more music for me to listen to that I like lol

Anyways back to cheap good iems lol

How are those Guideray GR ? Good mids ? [l read you own them]

So I actually really like the gr-i for the price, the fit is awesome for me. They are slightly v shaped, but the midrange isn’t too recessed to me, I think they would pass as a monitor imo, but I don’t think I would say they have a midrange focus. They are in the middle of aggressive and relaxed so pretty pleasing from a listening perspective. For listening I really don’t have any grips for the 40 bucks you can get them from linsoul for. I think they would be worth a try, but I don’t think they are exactly what you would be looking for from what you describe

Not cheap, but Bad Guy is hyping these all the way.
Not really sure what the high points are, he got lost in the music (so I guess it must sound good)
