It’s a shame the signs of the swarm singer left the band, he joined Lorna shore

For the melodeath fans:

Wintersun - I think these guys are pretty well known. Sons of Winter and Stars is definitely my favorite track by them. It’s a 13 minute roller coaster and I love every minute.

Æther Realm - I don’t know if these guys are as well know as Wintersun but I’ve seen them referred to as “The American Wintersun” as they are very similar.

Adding some love through Death

Really enjoy Opeth but when Bloodbath first came out, I was hooked.

Huge fan of Horror, so Mortician is right up my alley

Saw Obituary earlier this year and was not disappointed.

Ooh, Mortician! Now we’re cooking with gas. I’m wearing a Mortician shirt right now actually!

If this just turned into a horror thread I wouldn’t mind tbh. Scorched made a great horror themed record last year, and actually is one of my fav records ever now:

The first 26 seconds were good. That’s about it.

I don’t listen much deathcore, but I’ve been really into ‘Shadow of Intent’ .
Ben Duerr is perhaps my favorite extreme metal vocalist

Tha can be arranged…

Or just a “everything metal” thread, otherwise there will be like 100 different threads only for metal subgenres, lol.

…And people complaining about “it’s not this subgenre, it’s this subgenre”.

It is a very good album.

I’m surprised that Aborted - The necrotic manifesto hasn’t been mentioned here. Or any of their albums for that matter. Some of it seems like revisits of older songs to an extent, but nonetheless love the album.

Blood Incantation’s new project Hidden History of the Human Race is quite nice.

Death metal is music for the undead.

At east it sounds like it
