nice dagger(?)
As someone who’s played their fair share of Hearthstone, I should have recognized it
Coolest sword in fiction IMO.
The original Dark Souls (kind of), good memories. Saw this picture and directly remembered the password for the gore options (blood and dismemberment) “sesame” even after all these years.
haha true, i also remeber that password as if it was yesterday!
Time to revitalize this thread with my new obsession:
Red Dead Redemption 2.
Specifically, the photo mode.
I reckon it’s the best video game I’ve ever played in my life and the crazy thing is, I’m not even half way done with the story and I’m 60+ hours in.
RDR has some of the most scenic settings and a beautiful story!
I could just ride around on my horse for hours in this game. The map is just a masterpiece, along with everything else in the game!
Of course I’m still excited for GTA 6 but most of that hype died once I started playing RDR2. There is just simply no way R* can top RDR2. I truly think it’s their magnum opus.
Totally feel you on that. There’s something incredibly immersive about RDR2’s world… the detail, the atmosphere, the way the environment breathes on its own. Just riding through the wilderness, watching the sun set over the plains, hearing the wildlife… it’s honestly therapeutic.
Therapeutic is the perfect word for it. The game truly has become like my therapy once I get home. It helps me escape the chaos of real life.
Thought that was real life for a sec
One can dream, friend
I tried playing this but got booted out of the game within the first 5 mins for shooting a random NPC. What’s up with that? I thought this was America!
LOL
I never played the online mode. I knew from playing GTA5 online 10 years ago that Rockstar Multiplayer modes housed the most toxic of individuals.
The story of Arthur Morgan is a masterpiece and has the highest replay-ability of any game I’ve ever played so it’s more than sufficient for me.
I don’t know how I avoided playing RDR2 and GTA5. I was 12 years old when GTA 5 got released and I somehow dodged it. Same with RDR2.
BUT recently I played RDR1 and damn, it’s not that great compared to modern day immersion in games but somehow connection to the story is surreal for me. More so when I am not exposed to that “Cowboy/good bad and ugly” era.
I totally agree. I bought GTA5 and played about 1/3 of the single player, and thought it was the most generic dull story Rockstar had ever done, but I loved Vice City. I spent a week diving into online, and never understood the appeal, but I also don’t get CoD.
Both RDR games had solid stories. I played the OG on PS3, and rank it as one of the best games on the platform, but I haven’t revisited it since. My short list for that time period is Assassin’s Creed II ( the 3 Ezio games are amaing ), Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Skyrim. I am certain there are better games, but all four of those stuck with me in some way.
I played RDR2 on Steamdeck and was amazed at how great that was, even on a handheld.
If you like immersive games, I really can’t say enough good things about Prey (2017). This is the closest thing to Half Life 2 that we have seen in ages, and if not for a poor naming choice, I think it would have been much bigger.
Seems like everyone has a different favorite GTA. Mine was San Andreas, hands down.
