San Andreas was the first

" Yoooo Brother, we can do that in a Video Game ?" Momment for me. So yes , shock factor really helped. But I want to explore some other Rockstar lika “LA Noire” and “Bully” too at some point.

Ezio Trilogy and Batman Trilogy are the star performers in my opinion. People don’t like Arkham Origins but I fairly enjoyed it too.

What about over the top actions ? Like DMC/Saints Row/Prototype. Have you gave them a shot ?

Tried Saints Row. Didn’t like it. Just Cause is my favorite “over the top” series.

although san andreas was my first one. My fav was hands down GTA 4 and the episodes from liberty city chapters. What made it even special was I had got that for my 10th bday along with a PS3. But yea intially i played around just like that then a couple years later I started properly following the storyline and fell in love.

Your username reminds me of an incredible dialogue in TV

“You can’t make a Tomlette without breaking some Gregs”

Exactly where i get it from. To be precise the scene where he meets the roy kids mom.

I have to confess the Vice City music helps it, but the 80s stuff is from my teens, so the nostalgia hits hard.

San Andreas was a great game.

@Argha Prototype was a blast, as was inFamous, and Just Cause 2 is my favorite of the over the top action games.

Like Victor Frankenstein, I’m shocking this creature of a thread back to life.

You vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about…

I got chassis # 114… kind of hoping for 422 but that’s okay.

This thing is dope, man. It’s a lot lighter than I thought it’d be, but it’s still a solid feeling peice of kit. Seems to have plenty of power for what I need them for. They can run the Titans, however, just like the M4 the right channel distorts on mid bass hits above level 65 volume. The M4 and now the M6 are the only two sources I have that distort when powering the Titans… so strange. I’m genuinely dumbfounded by it… it’s not just my pair either, I had another pair of Titans do the same thing before I got my pair. I guess it’s a Symphonium set thing as it doesn’t happen with any other IEM in my collection.

Regardless, I’m running the Mona MK2s through VT mode right now and it sounds fantastic. To my ears, it’s definitely a bit warmer with more of an emphasis on the upper mids through about 6k. Staging is on the intimate side but detail retrieval is strong. So is timbre.

Looking forward to using this thing for years to come!

I have to be done with sources by now - I am fully stacked when it comes to dongles for sure. Maybe I should dabble in the DAP market in the near future, but I don’t feel the need to at the moment… who knows!

Any experience with full sized headphones ? Especially around the 65 Vol mark

Not yet, I only have a few pairs but nothing crazy demanding. Power doesn’t really seem to be insane out of this thing but I don’t think that’s what it’s going for quite frankly.

Can confirm it runs the Sundara 2020s no problem. 50% volume in high gain mode is plenty loud :handshake:

The Titans is extremely low impedance, just 3 ohms. I don’t know of any other IEM’s with that low impedance. This might have something to do with the distortion. Strange it should happen on just one side though🤔. Do it happen with both 3.5 and 4.4?

My buddy @Sonofholhorse expanded on your thought and he thinks you’re onto something with this. Maybe it is the impedance causing the issue, I honestly wouldn’t know, the electrical stuff goes way over my head tbh.

I have never even tried to run the Titans off 3.5 considering they do need a lot of power, but let me check. It’s worth a shot!

This is kind of dope. Saw someone post it over on Head-Fi.

MEMS +1DD +3BA tribrid joint… worlds first?

Low impedance circuits require more current to be driven properly or optimally. 3ohms is a tough load anyway you look at it and can cause the amplifier output circuit to oscillate. No bueno.

Thanks for sharing dom. Looks like this technology is about to have a battle.

After some thinking I remembered an even lower impedance IEM, which probably have its similarities to Titan, namely Nightjar Acoustics Duality. It has 2 or 4 ohms impedance depending on switch position. When Nightjar toured this IEM in Europe, they included a small SMSL D10 dongle. I guess this means they see this as a low cost stable amp for extremely low impedance gear. Might be handy to have one on hand for cases like Titan🤔

Duality is 2ohms IIRC

Thanks for the rec! I’ve got other dongles that run the Titan without a problem, so this was really just me poking around out of curiosity. Everything seems to point toward an impedance issue, but it’s still pretty strange that the clipping only shows up on the Muse dongles and nowhere else. It makes it even harder to nail down the issue, considering Muse is pretty private about some of their tech specs.

Yo Yo - For those of you who asked about the Tourbillon, here be the full review!

Honestly, I think they’re dope. The treble is pretty relaxed to my ear and they do take a hit on overall resolution and techs, but if you’re looking for a warm set with absolutely killer timbre, these are it for sure. Not to mention, they’re damn handsome…
