Tips are such a pain lol, depending on the iem esp if itâs a DD iem it can make some larger changes in sound (and so many to try esp if you arenât into iems all the way)
yeah, they can make or break an iem.
Getting a good seal is extremely important so that is why tips are so important.
Tips are a pain? You mean you donât enjoy trying every tip you own with each IEM to find the ultimate sound and comfort??? Crazy talk!
The Spinfits are usually my go-to favorites, but in every situation⊠Gotta try them all!
Yeah hell no lol, Iâm far to lazy to try that, not to mention that I could never be able to keep that organized lol. I only have a few tips that I try, mainly spinfits, spiral dots, symbio w, ikko planet i, and then whatever tips come with the iems (which I mainly use tbh), same for headphones, donât really have many spare pads laying around since I tend to not touch stock pads
Sup guys. Ordered the FH3(thanks to all of you here. impossible to resist lol) and it should be here before the 25th. I used to own fh5 and fh7. The cable on fh3 looks to be the same one that came with fh5. And from my personal experience even the fh5 cable and fh7 cable sounds plenty different. I also got some other old mmcx cables from other iems like se846, xelentoâŠetc. We shall see if I can find a combo I enjoy the most.
Hope you like them.
Just ordered a pair from Linsoul. How long does express shipping from them generally take?
Also any comparisons between this and the ER2XR or JVC HA FDX1?
Donât make me break out photos of my pad box!
Welcome! Be sure to let us know what you think of them after youâve had a chance to enjoy them. I hope you wonât be disappointed. I actually want to pick up the FH5 to finish off my Fiio collection. Iâm interested in a comparison of the FH3 vs the FH5 if you ever have time to share your thoughts.
To the US, it has been 2 to 3 weeks for me lately.
With DHL Express shipping, once Linsoul actually ships it, Iâve been getting it in less than a week, in the US.
ER2XR and FDX1 are quite different, with a more neutral tuning, but they are less fun IMO. I need to listen to the FH3 a lot more though.
Thatâs a lot of money in tips haha
Iâm going to be breaking them in for the next two weeks, but out of the box, these things are great! Seem to work equally well across a lot of different genres! Gonna need time to tip-roll, but so far I like the white/pink (balanced?) tips the most. Definitely deserving of all of the praise theyâve been getting, if not specifically the hype.
I will also add that, while itâs certainly got some shape-memory going on, I actually like the cable quite well! Itâs not extremely supple, but itâs rugged and attractive with no fit issues so far IMO.
Anybody here who own the Sony MH755 and Sony XBA N3? How do they compare to the Fiio FH3?
Sounds good. How do you think the fh3 compares to the fdx1 or er2xr in terms of detail retrieval?
I really enjoyed the fdx1- it had worse dynamics than the er2xr but was generally more precise and tighter. Sort of like BA driver but with DD timbre. Though honestly the etys are neck and neck in terms of resolution.
Too bad the fdx1 is a brick in terms of weight and comfort.
This sounds like a lazy answer, but I think micro detail retrieval is quite similar between the three of them. If I had to rank them, IMHO, FDX1>FH3>ER2XR. I think the FDX1 has the most clarity with its tuning, the FH3 has the best imaging and instrument separation as a hybrid, and the ER2XR sounds the most natural. As a hybrid, with BAs, the FH3 sounds the least natural of the 3, but still really good for a hybrid.
Thanks so much for the info. Looking forward to testing the set
Just a heads up since I think some FH3 owners didnât pay attention to this but FiiO is sending a cable (LC-2.5B, LC-4.4B, LC-2.5BS, LC-3.5BS) to you if you follow up those steps: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/fiio-fh3-2-ba-1-dynamic-driver-hybrid-earphones-share-your-fh3-to-win-a-nice-gift.938384/
WAY too many YouTubers have this problem. I canât listen to them.
That was a really shitty move of them to make. Seemed like they didnt have faith in the FH3 and just wanted people to shill for the cableâŠ
Luckily it was damn goodâŠ
