Well, no one can be UNBIASED but they can be Honest. I really facepalm hard when I see people claiming their review is unbiased and objective lol.

I dunno if anyone else is having this, but I find these to be really temperamental with how they present bass?

Some tracks like 2049 from the blade runner sound track sound great and have a lot of rumble, but then more of the stuff I normally listen to like run the jewels or injury reserve feels like thereā€™s not really much sub bass to them which I donā€™t feel like with the good sounding tracks.

letā€™s fucking gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! lol.

ā€œWallaceā€ is my favorite track from 2049. Sub bass is crazy good on my primary test track Big Boi - Kill Jill. What tips are you rocking? Are you sure youā€™ve got a good seal? Itā€™s possible if youā€™re hearing less bass than you did previously that the DD has failed, but usually youā€™ll hear a channel imbalance.

Itā€™s not less than I used to, itā€™s just very dependant on the track that I am listening to, I use the final e tips from my e1000s and they seem to be great for sealing (much better than the stock ones for me).

Kill jill was another one that I found the bass to do pretty well in, it just seems to be very hit or miss for me. I guess Iā€™m spoilt by my hawks :joy:

I do really like these for the price and Iā€™m not disappointed, just have to listen to the right things on them so for me theyā€™re not the best as all rounders in my music.

Iā€™ll be keeping them in my collection for sure, not stopping getting IEMs any time soon though, next will probably be the Jomo Audio Haka and a dap like the qp1r.

Thank you! This 1 paragraph essentially summarized exactly why this entire thread blew up (besides obvious people stoking the the fires). That is well articulated and allows the casual observer who hasnā€™t been following to truly understand the appeal without all the fanfare.

Daaaaaang, flavor of the month starting to sour. Some of the discussion points here made me Nick Young face, but it was wildly entertaining. Hope yā€™all enjoyed the Hype Train if this was your first time!

Lol hype train or not, this is how all IEMs go.

Just listened to this. Didnā€™t know what to expect, but wow. It caught me off guard how realistic the sounds were. Unique track. Thank you for the share!

NP!, Zeos has used it in the past and I really started liking it to test if I have a proper seal since the bass image will not travel as far left or right as it moves etc.

So I listened for a few hours yesterday, I havent had a chance to in a min, but F itā€¦ FH3 will sit right behind my EX800st for personal enjoyment, then followed by the FDX1/Starfield. Reason is its a balanced fun signature that does have good technical performance in replay of my library. This means I do have a preference for warmer IEMS that do not have too much upper mid shout.

  1. EX800st- Warm Neutral; best bass guitar performance I own. Wide Soundstage.
  2. FH3- Balanced Fun; Best sub bass performance I own. Good vocals/Treble while being non fatiguing.
  3. FDX1- Cold Neutral; Best Treble and imaging I own. With EQ can be very strong and equal to FH3 in sub bass. Can be fatiguing regardless of filter.
  4. Starfield- Harman/Balanced Fun; Best for low volume relaxed listen. Not as detailed in treble as FH3. Bass can sound bloated or slow depending on track, but performs well at lower volume ie less distortion etc.

FH3 is a good buy and no regrets. R&P Spring 1 is a regret in technical performance, L3 is regret in fit/comfort for ear canal and seal for bass, Meze Rai Solo is regret for tonal peaks in upper mids making them un-listenable(should have cut my losses on that one). This is my opinion in retrospect.

I wasnā€™t sure if I would be able to listen to IEMs and have an experience like I do with speakers and headphones. But today I layed down, put on my blindfold and just enjoyed bol4, the sweet vocals combined with the super forgiving and chill sound signature of the fh3 is super lovely. The imaging surprises me each time and makes it an experience. Tonality also is a major reason for my enjoyment! I think itā€™s a very refined sounding IEM

I donā€™t know whatā€™s happened here the last few days but I agree the hype is over blown - Iā€™m giving my Panasonic ergo fit my only S rating because I can buy 10 backups for when the first pair break. They cost less than a balanced cable ffs. Plus the Panasonic has a mic - and I want distortion when I listen to Mary Jane on another goddamn zoom call. Iā€™m going to post a picture showing my comparison of FH3 and the ergofit hooked up to my Schitt stack to audio science review to get some feedback.

(Still loving the FH3 and got my invitation to the player haters ball with them)
