šŸ”¶ FiiO FH3 2BA 1DD

Seems normal to me. This is a somewhat sensitive IEM. The 15 seconds is probably the time it takes your laptop to decide to turn off the sound card to save power. I have the same issue on some sources. If you hear a loud pop when you start playing music again, you might want to either unplug them before you do, or change the power-saving settings for your sound card (if possible, might not be on a laptop)

Thatā€™s typical behaviour on Macbooks and other laptops.

Itā€™s a bit easier to notice on sensitive headphones, itā€™s essentially louder.

even louder than my se215

btw fh3 have better isolation than my old shure se215
Iā€™m impressed!

---- kinda makes me wince at cymbals and crashes.
Same
On some tracks cymbals and crashes so hurt
Can I fix that?
Update:
For exmaple track Sleeping with Sirens - The Bomb Dot Com V2.0 (right crash so hurt)
Can someone confirm this on own fh3?

hmm make me wanna try fh3 with foamā€¦ so far good thing with se215 is the isolation and really slim build.

i listened to the song through spotify but it dont really hurt me that muchā€¦ maybe cause the tips im usingā€¦sedna xelastec, you can try swapping the tips or eq it down a bit maybe you`re just sensitive to trebleā€¦
you can try listen to hotel california remaster 2013 on spotify, at minute 3:07 there is this guitar note that hit me like a whip, in a good way though, and then at the end, the cymbal crash is quite pronounce.

Iā€™m use stock foam
Checked hotel california yea such a good string harmonic!
Are sedna xelastec foam?

Iā€™d try first foam tips, if it still bothering you, then Iā€™d go for the stock gray tips + cotton mod. (just need to grab a smidgen of cotton and stuff it inside of the tip). That really smoothes the upper-treble and makes it less fatiguing and stabby for me.

nope they`re not, but they stick well and change to ear shape, less fatiguing, and easy to use.

I just got a pair of these and comfort is incredible. Theyā€™re so light compared to the Starlight, in fact I am returning those immediately.

The FH3 sounded a bit much at 2k for me on female voices, but after rolling tips, itā€™s not as annoying as it has been on every other IEM Iā€™ve tried and the voicing sounds pretty close to natural now. I really despise the mountain most IEMs have from 1-4K, kill it with fire please.

Switching back between these and my HE500 isnā€™t as painful as it was with the Starlight, RE400 and RE600.

What cable do you guys recommend? This one is quite microphonic and heavy. Ideally under $30-50.

Faaeal copper cable: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000400771561.html

Tri Through SPC cable: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001514590570.html

Kbear Rhyme copper cable: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001244591805.html

Kbear Limpid silver cable: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001244034183.html

Pick one based on the aesthetics, or if you want the best measuring cable, either the Through cable or the Faaeal cable are excellent choices.

Not to divert from the FH3 conversation to much, but when you go to recc cables, are you just measuring 1 cable, or are you taking massive sample sizes to check for manufacturing tolerances? Just curious since even how they solder the wires to the plugs could have an effect cable to cable.

I measure 1 most of the time (I buy everything myself, cant expect me to have massive samples of each and every cable). But for the ones that I rec a lot (Tri Through and Faaeal), I do have multiple units of them so I measure them all.

But as I have written on the measurements description page, my multimeter is NOT 100% accurate. The values I have are good for comparisons between cables I have measured myself and not to be compared against someone elseĀ“s measurements.

I have just received the FH3 and it is true, it outperforms my FH7 in SQ, especially in voices and mids. I replaced the standard tips with JVC Spiral dot++ and the cable by the FH7 LC-3.5C standard cable. Subbass and particularly midbass sounds better to me in the FH3 than the FH7. Voices sounded subdued in the FH7 as compared with low and high frequencies, but the FH3 has a much more natural tuning. The high frequencies sound also more natural and never piercing in the FH3 as compared with the extended highs in the FH7. Soundstage is a bit narrow, the FH7 is a bit better here. Tested the FiiO LC-2.5D pure silver balanced cable with the FH3 and it improves soundstage, but at the expense of lowering voice impact. Overall, the FH3 has a more natural driver tuning as compared with the FH7.

By the way, the FH3 sounds better to me (in mids and voices) than the Ikko OH10 and the iBasso IT01.

Guys can someone recommend to buy devices like Fiio BTR or DAC/AMP (for Fiio FH3)
Cuz I donā€™t wanna buy any player
Want to listen music from spotify on smartphone
Also Iā€™m sensetive to 5.5k and 9k frequency
