Damn, I kinda wish I had these in white now haha. That cable works so well too !!
white version?
Looks colorless, just metal+finish!
Man, these are so. good… My bed time was 2 hours ago, but you just can’t stop listening to these. All my music, new again.
Hello guys, I am new to the forum. I have ordered the FH3 a week ago and came across the issue of the right iem being either louder or bassier than the left. I have tested my other iems (KZ ZS10 Pro and Blon 03) and they were pretty balanced. I also tested with and without the Tempotec Sonata HD Pro DAC and it still occurs. I have ordered 2 more times and they still had the same issue. I ordered these from Fiio on Amazon. It just can’t be a coincidence. I really loving the sound of these iems. Should I order them one more time? Can someone recommend iems that have the same sound signature/tuning but with a bit more bass or something better that’s below 200$? Thank you.
try this first,
- put the left mmcx connector to the right earphone and right to the left then check with music again,
- try every eartips, because if it doesn’t seal properly the bass will suffer,
- put the left earphone in your right ear and vice versa, then check with music again,
honestly there is nothing could compete with this under $200,
you need to spend $500 for an upgrade,
good luck,
much love from Indonesia,
500 usd is exaggerating a bit too much lol.
I say you can find some upgrades at 300 usd. (LZ A7 for example)
I will try these suggestions out. Thanks. 500 is way way above my budget. 250 is probably the highest I will spend on IEMs.
JVC HA FDX1, 200 on massdrop right now, better than the FH3 in every way. better bass too IMO
I hate the stock cable, so I would suggest buying a nicer, more flexible cable! And these sound best with the stock black barrel tips. Takes the treble edge off
If I were to try something else right now, I’d prob try Final A4000, LZ A7, Legacy 4 or KBEAR BElieve.
reminder to be careful with your mmcx iems, the connector was in so tight that the cable tore while it was still plugged in, AND the right iem connector is busted
does the connector on the iem okay?
I really recommend Faaeal cable with the FH3,
or Tri Through if you like a silver cable.
??? Did you expect the cable to break away from the IEMs? What were you doing to have the cable rip? Were they in your ears when this occurred? This is not a fault of the product.
I’m glad that the cable break,
so it’s a safe weak point,
imagine if the cable connector and the mmcx connector is strong as a steel cable.
the weak point would be your ears,
I rather have a broken cable than a broken ear.
This looks like you pulled the wire instead of the mmcx housing.
OK, that makes more sense. If you were attempting to disconnect the cable from the IEMs, NEVER pull from the cable itself. ALWAYS pull from the connector. A better method is to use this…
General tip, it is not advised to disconnect and re-connect MMCX cables. Attach the cable you want and leave it alone for the life of the IEM.
Going through all my phones to see which work best for movies paired with a BTR 5, previously liked the Ollo S4X’s but holy crap I just tried the Fiio’s with a balanced cable and this is it, LDAC from a Sony 4K Blu-Ray player
According to manufacturer spec (only looked at two), cycle count is somewhere between 100 and 1000 mating cycles.
That is not anywhere close to TRS, not as low as PCIe slots.
BGGAR suggests exactly what I just said. MMCX connectors are notorious for becoming loose quickly. Don’t believe everything manufacturers tell you. Especially when the average consumer consensus says the opposite.
I am not talking random marketing wank manufacturers here, I am talking industrial suppliers here (Molex in this case). The kind that supplies components on spools for production and will have contracts with customers concerning the spec they hand out.
