You are frankly being a bit rude. Specially to a member whose sentence you misunderstood. Doubling down on what you wrote is not the right thing to do when heā€™s been so cordial to you. Not to mention how passive aggressive you like to be. Reminds me of a member called papa emeritus. He was rude but at least he decided to leave when he couldnā€™t take the criticism instead of doubling down more and more

Oh really? Who resorted to name calling when they didnā€™t like something I said?

I did not misunderstand his sentenceā€¦

He obviously meant what he said when he posted that +25db bass shelf graph. I was going to give him alternatives to the Sundara that I prefer (since I own a Sundara myself) but I wonā€™t bother.

Are you suggesting I leave the community then? Maybe an admin should ban me since I donā€™t know when to stop.

A lot of this has looked like arguing for the sake of arguing. Letā€™s everyone take a break for a few, please.

This is what he wrote directly under the eq graph he showed. Very directly mentioning that he does not do this type of EQ but he is impressed that

Itā€™s called passive vs active aggression
He responded more aggressively, actively to you after you responded very passively aggressive to him. If there was a scientific way to measure how much of a douchebag someone is, no doubt you would beat him. Just because you mask your aggressive and rude tendencies dosent mean that they arenā€™t evident to everyone reading the thread.

I suggested no such thing, itā€™s up to you. You are just as welcome as I am to be in this community. We try to maintain a positive attitude and be nice to each. Whether you want to keep it that why too by playing nice or by leaving its up to you

Thank you for this, but to everyone, lets please move on from this subject.

Is it possible I may come off this way to you, but my actual intentions are nothing of the sort? I enjoy this hobby and enjoy discussing it with likeminded individuals, especially @Rikudou_Goku. Iā€™ve never come here looking for a fight. I apologize if I come off with ā€œaggressive and rude tendenciesā€ but that is not, and never has been my intent.

Although, I will obviously defend myself if someone attacks me anywhere.

Is anyone paring their FH3 with a BTR3K? Iā€™m pondering with buying the latter, my only worry is that some BTR3K reviews mention audible hiss when combined with sensitive IEMs. Can someone provide feedback on this paring (balanced and/or single-ended)?

just get the btr5, noticeably better performance.

Thanks. I wouldnā€™t mind the additional cost, but I donā€™t think the FH3 makes use of the additional power, I donā€™t believe in the DAC chip making an audible difference (to me), and Iā€™d quite strongly prefer the smaller size (and weight) of the BTR3K. My alternative idea would be the Shanling UP4, which should be somewhere in between the FiiOs (not sure Iā€™d like the single-button control though).

I think the BTR3K would be just fine for me, except if it annoys me with hiss.

No, dacs dont make any difference to me either.

But the BTR5 has a lot more output power from the amp than the BTR3K. Thats why you should go for the BTR5 instead and sources are usually something you use for a long time.

The Fh3 also barely improves from quality dac/amp. I thought itā€™s ceiling kinda hit in my galaxy phone anyways. So if you donā€™t want to future proof your amp for something else te btrk should b good

I dont use my phone for music anymore so cant really comment on it. Although I am using an LG G7 so thats probably not a fair generalization of smartphone dac/amp performance.

Lg phones have a nice dac, decent amp
Honestly itā€™s just IMO fh3 dosent change/improve much with different source gear. My galaxy sounded great. Of course this is just my experience, others might differ

yeah I know. Thats why I cant really compare my own experience with my phone to others.
