I dont really think it is good based on the graph.
That upper treble is basicaly non-existent⊠and that is a very elevated bass. Most likely going to be dark, bloated bass and lacking air and micro-details.

Itâs $300 usually, apparently thereâll be a sale in the next few days so keep an eye out, maybe itâll be cheaper then.
yeah, it starts in 2 days.
You can get a coupon that gives you 10 usd off from 100 usd orders. And it stacks with the sale prices.
What sale? I wouldnât mind to pick up and OH10 just for the heck of it. Oxygen too.
There is a sale on aliexpress that starts in 2 days.
Yeah that graph is not very good indeed⊠I will wait a bit in case you get the OH10, maybe then you will be able to hear what i heard and point me in the right direction.
Btw, how can i get that $10 coupon? It would be cool to combine it with a sale price.
You can get it by playing the energy lab minigame in the app.
Well i have both and couldnt say ikko10 is better than fh 3. Orcourse we all have preferances, for me weakest part of ikko is in their mid part. Ikko is more v shaped and if their bass and trebble is good not so in mids. Fh3 is clearly better here. More natural, boddied mids. I also liked ikko 10 and still do but when got fh3 i became fh fan. Ikko has more musicality imo but not so natural and technical as fh3. But if looking at stock form - fh3 vs ikko i could possibly at least in bass department could prefer ikko. But after changing cables and tips fh is a winer for me everywhere. At least with ibasso as a source. This is as always in this hobby subjective. But imo fh3 still objectivelly better from technical side if letting tuning preferences aside.
Interesting, your experience is much different than mine while comparing these 2.
What about soundstage? I have a feeling that it is a less subjective comparison because the difference is huge.
Well in my opinion soundstage is clearly bigger on ikko oh10. But differences not so big that his thing alone could make me prefer ikko instead of fh. What sources you are using and have you moddified fh from stock somehow ? And yeah sound is sometimes so unexplainably different for each of us that objectivity is not possible. So i only tried to explain what i hear and this could be very subjective. But still my fh3 unit is a little better in mostly all areas for me. But not so good fitting as ikko ( if only it could be less weight)
Yep this is all very subjective, but man i wish i could get a good fit with the Ikko, it would be endgame for me, i know it may not have all the technicalities but to my ears the OH10 were just perfect.
I am using Tidal - Schiit Modi 3 - Schiit Magni Heresy (low gain) with both IEMs, and i did not mod either in any way, what i did though was to EQ both so i would get a bit more bass and i think that is where the differences start to appear when it comes to the bass.
Without EQ the bass performance of both is very comparable to my ears, but it seems like when you increase the bass it gets harder to control, then the FH3 becomes a bit boomy while the OH10 stays tight and controlled, seems much faster.
I just love the combination of an extremely controlled and punchy bass + a huge and deep soundstage, the slightly recessed mids on the OH10 donât bother me at all, the FH3 has more forward mids for sure. Maybe if the FH3 had a bigger soundstage the mids would be more to my liking, not sureâŠ
Havent heard on these sources i mainly using iems with portable daps as i feel strange sitting with iems connected to many wats amps. For desktop using normal headphones. Mainly planars. But for me i always wanted to make fh3 bass less amount and a little less boomy in sub than stock. And out of the box ikko seems really less boomy and more controlled. But after using wide bore tips and silver cable i got imo on fh3 higher quality bass than ikko. Fast, punchy, much less boomy and more controlled than with stock tips and more real on live instruments than ikko. I quess for you it also could be possible to get it if more working with correct tips and cables. But ikko has something in their bass tuning that is very enjoyable. Only for ikko i would choose brighter neutral source as with warmer bassier it becomes out of my prefered tuning. So it seems i like the same as you in bass and here my ideal bass is hifiman planar bass. Not quantity but quality. Speed, punch and tightness this is orgazmic for my ears. Only interesting that you added bass to your fh3 and ikko and i always lowered it, not with eq bit with modification because in stock form they have really good quantity of bass so here it seems you like much more of it but as i say for sound there is no receipt we all make our own tasty meal
I agree with you on the definition of perfect bass, the reason i have the Schiit stack is because my main headphone is a Sundara, that is exactly the type of bass i am looking for in an IEM, as you described âSpeed, punch and tightnessâ.
If you feel like the bass got less boomy in the FH3 after using wide bore tips i will also give that a try! I am currently using Spinfit 145 with my FH3.
The CP145 makes the sound more v-shaped (for all iems generally). If you want tighter bass, then I suggest the Elecom EHP-CAP20, Final Audio Type E or the Radius Deep mount tips. All 3 of those tightens bass but they affect the treble differently. With the Type E being the warmest, CAP20 balanced and the deep mount having the most treble.
No wonder i also have sundara so now i know that we prefer the same. Sundara are practically what ideal bass should be with a little bit added amount for more fun. So about tips rikudou knows really much so what he recommends i believe is good to get what you looking. I also use azla sedna light short and it also makes bass less amount more technical and tight more sundara way (if we keep in front sundara bass as a bechmark). Practically could try all or many tips with wider bore or wide as possible and they all should makea fh3 better. Not fan of spinfit145 on fh3. They really doesnt let fh3 show what they really capable of
Wide-bore tips (jvc/azla) are yesterdays news, it is the time for radius deep mount tips to shine now.
Yeah i should look in front ahead, not recommending old days crap. these i am getting and i hope they really leaves these old days classics in the dust
Hey @Rikudou_Goku, i saw there are some deals for the Ikko on aliexpress but nothing super cheap, are you still planning on getting the Ikko in this sale?
I am deciding if i should pull the trigger on another attempt to randomly find a substitute for it or if i will wait for your review.
I already ordered it like 10 hours ago.
I got it along with the YUIN G2A from the penon store and also picked dhl express. Hopefully I get it next week and with a miracle, maybe on this friday.
LOL nice! I am curious to hear your thoughts on both. I will wait for your impressions before buying anything else then.
I am an over the ear headphones guy and i only listened to like 10 IEMs (all under $300), so the Ikkos will probably not impress you as much as they impressed me, but hopefully you will not regret the purchase.
