I just sat here for a few hours comparing the Clear MG and my ZMF Aeolus. 
since its new it seems to be selling quite wellā¦ wonāt be restocked till mid april over hereā¦
I was under the impression that the Elex smoked every Focal except the Stellia and Utopia.

If you handicap the amp severely possibly, but if you give an appropriate amp the clear (and presumably mg as well) easily outperforms the elex when it comes to technicalities imo

I can agree to this, lol i was reconsidering the clear only cause the big difference in price pointsā¦ I mean for a budget elex is one gorgeous sounding headphone and hard to pass upā¦ but clear is another beast entirelyā¦ however, from my experience so far with og clear not mg(yet) is that clears are quite picky on what you have them connected withā¦
Curious, do you plan to try these at some point M0N? would be interesting to hear what you think on the two clears here.

As are all focals (elegia is the least picky, after that the elear and elex), the utopias extremely so (to the point where I may actually prefer clears over the utopia on a setup with amp thatās not up to task for a utopia like letās say a monolith liquid platinum)

I got my Elex for 500 bux and they were only 30 days old.

Still doesnāt like my clears lolā¦ I am not a fan at all of the LP with the clears.
I am staying in touch with the stores, see if I can get a copy myself to sit down with.
its a great price for a great headphone for sureā¦ its why I really had to think like are the clears really worth $1000 more? as the clears are priced at practically $1500 after taxes

Headphones dot com had them on sale for 999.99 about 30 to 40 days ago.
I was going to buy them but got the Elex instead.
ive seen like used mint condition from others right aroundā¦ $850 ish so you can definitely snag them at a good priceā¦ maybe not now though since the MG is out. The problem is you absolutely need a very good setup

Is the clear MG that much better than the aeolus?
Wellā¦ Iām now seriously thinking about selling my Aeolus if that gives you any indication and I never thought Iād even think about that.
The treble on the Aeolus is much more present and sounds tinny in comparison. They sound VERY different from one another.

Sorry, I really canāt tell if youāre serious or sarcastic. Am I an idiot for thinking that cable was fabric when it was rubber? I donāt know. It looked like fabric to me and was described as very soft to the touch.

hmm, store told me they should have this in for me at the same time I go to grab my Fender Strat. Kinda hoping after I get them in and burn them in for a while they feel more worth that price point over the OG. Probably wonāt do impressions on thisā¦ clears are one of those you definitely need to try for yourself

Imagine how I felt when I took it out of the bag to not only find out it wasnāt fabric and was rubber, but it was actually a sticky smelly rubber at that! ICK!
