Just get the Clears with an RNHP and call it a day.
Pretty much yeah, thatās going to be one of the top ābudgetā amps for the clear imo
So is the mojo gonna do it for me or should I just see who wants my set? Lol
I think it will imo, for a portable amp thatās a great choice and a different ballgame compared to what you are currently running on it. In the end, you can go higher end portables but the clear will be just fine on the mojo. If you wanted to take it to the next level you could get a higher end portable later on
Btw, I realized after all that melting my brain about voltage and amps the other day that it makes physical sense that the Elex sounds better on my device. Since it has a higher impedance if takes more to get volume, but by the time the m6 is pumping enough juice into the Elex to get volume then thereās also a decent enough amount of energy to move the driver for bass, etc.
The clear is the opposite. It gets loud really easily with the m6 but by the time itās loud enough not much amp is coming out of the device so the driver canāt get that ommph that it needs to shine!!!
I think thatās right?? Weird how this stuff works.
yeah idk. i already got 2 expensive neutral headphones. the Auteur and the Arya.
True, but also that should suggest that your next higher end purchase would be a better amp (and later on dac)
Yeah i just ordered the RNHP. should be here soon
Yes, you made a good choice lol. I think you should be good for headphones now until you figure out where you want to go next. Perhaps selling headphones you donāt enjoy for more capital would be a good ideal lol
Iām just trying to figure what headphones to go for next. Clears, or Fostex or Denon or maybe the Heddphone. not sure
Lots of options lol. I think if you like the auteur or x00 ebony, go towards the fostex or denon. If you like the arya, go towards the hedd. If you want a further refinement of the elex, go towards the clear
Go for the HEDDphone.
Itās been compared to Utopia, LCD-4, and even RAALās. It doesnāt quite beat any of those, but it hangs with themā¦ for less than half the cost.
There are issues though, itās up there for detail and speed, but I donāt really think it competes in that range yet. I think it has the potential to compete in that range with more work on the driver and refinement of their sound
Agreed. But itās only v1ā¦ and less than half the cost.
What exactly would you say thatās off about the sound? I was really impressed at canjam but then again I donāt have much to compare it to.
Iām just going to say detail isnāt everything. Some of the highest end setups I have heard are not the most detailed, the are going for extreme refinement and naturalness of sound
I agree with you.
I also think that it would be a good choice for Ant, as itās different enough from what he presently has while offering some qualities that he doesnāt get from his current headphones.
Plus, thereās only one U.S. distributor presently and they have a pretty good return policy.
Spatial recreation is a bit poor imo, kinda lacking in that area. Also think that the overall presentation was kinda lacking to me. Timbre and naturalness were just alright to me. Detail and speed were impressive for sure, but overall refinement was kinda low and being rough around the edges for that price range is really not great imo.
Yes, I actually suggested them before to him if he wanted slam, speed, and detail for the price
Time for the moment of truth. Chord Mojo just arrived in the mail. Now I have to figure out how to use it with no instructions in the box.
Do you have the appropriate cables to hook it up to the m6 or pc?
