yes correct on the Monoprice, although i only use eq on these. just speaking for my set i see no QC issues, i did not have a loose screw, or any marks or bad leather on the pads. i did not use the included cable because i bought an aftermarket XLR cable because i donāt have any 4.4 balanced connectorsā¦so overall with my pair nothing is wrong QC wise whatsoeverā¦

To be honest thereās been discussion in the past of products in the gpu world and other assembly in China seeing as younger people are leaving the manufacturers theyāre getting older staff who are unable to tighten screws. Itās not uncommon even on high ticket items just good to do a check on any product that throws screws are in properly or if they need lock tight
When I as a paying customer need to do the QC for the manufacturer, that is the one and only time I will buy their hobby project-tier shit.

He likes a lot of soundstage, a very punchy and tight bass, and planar magnetic headphones
These fit all the boxes for him
I prefer more intimate sound stage as I never had a lot of speaker experience, I prefer treble and timbre, and I like a lot detailed separation and comfortable separation, so they are probably not my thing. And maybe not the thing for you depending what you want

got the monolith m1570 in todayā¦ I mean, it sounds real nice and all buuuutā¦ holy hell is this thing bulky and rather uncomfortable. Hoping the GoldPlanar is more comfortable than this, I still havenāt received an email about shipping

Iāll be curious when you do get the email. I ordered later the same day you did it seemsā¦tells me April 28th or something crazy like that. Hopefully its just a very generous date

Where are you ordering from? Drop? Got mine on Amazon and they said March 22. Granted, I had to pay extra.

Same - Drop. Iāve heard that Drop sometimes will exaggerate the ship date to be safe, so that is what I am hoping.

They generally do. I recieved my Beyerdynamic 177X a month ahead of expected. Iāll cross my fingers for you.
I really have been thinking of buying this again for my wall, it really is a fantastic closed back maybe after I am done with this headphone

In my opinion, this is the closed back version of the 1990. I run it with the BTR5 and it is my daily driver.

Just dropped the money, with a stretch to my budget, after reading the " Gold Planar GL2000 Dual-sided: A Poor Manās Flagship" BGGAR, AudioLevels reviews and all the comments so far on this thread.
So they are on the way, Iād love to hear peopleās descriptions from going from basic gaming headsets/ ear/headphones to proper hifi gear. Specifically my only other āqualityā - (yes I know) experience with headphones has been with a Ā£70 pair of hyper x gaming headset which is closed back. Didnāt think much of audio till I got pair of JBL 305ās and a SVS-SB1000 sub.
Itās been tough going back to headphones since then but decided iād jump in and see the offerings. After about 2 months of reading my list was narrowed down to the HD660s, DT1990 Proās and the
HiFiMan - Sundara. Before slamming the buy button I saw this review and hadnāt seen in all my years Z sound so excited over a Ā£500 (ballpark figure) pair of headphones in a long time.
Long story short from what iāve read of the āDual Magnetā the hype train is due on time to the station.
To support the headphones Iāve bought myself the Topping A50s and D50s stack.
- Hopefully these are a quality set (any thoughts would be appriecated)

As to not clog this thread with off topic discussion, Iāll keep it short. You will hopefully notice a difference, but you will notice more differences as you experience more headphones/IEMs/speakers.
