šŸ”¶ GoldPlanar GL2000

Just to be clear - my comment was literally about new world order from perspective of duty zones. UK for continental Europe is now the same as, say, Laos or Zimbabwe (again, have picked 2 countries top of my head).
Unfortunately, these days geography is not important.
A year ago I was able to grab breakfast, drive for 90 minutes crossing 2 borders on the way, meet my work colleagues, and be back home for lunch.
Now I`d have to count total 20 days quarantine or spending tons of money for quick tests to be released earlierā€¦

Even with the temporary VAT reduction, if I buy something that is shipped from Germany I pay the same VAT as someone who lives in Germany. Thatā€™s why at the moment it can be cheaper to buy stuff from Germany in stead of buying it locally.

You really donā€™t understand, do you?

I try it again:
On the amazon page you see, that the final price is what you pay at the checkout.
Thatā€™s only true, if you live in those four countryā€™s. If not, than they contact you to accept additional fees (VAT).
In other cases thatā€™s called customer deception

That could be avoided if Amazon would count for that extra VAT if your shipping Address is in another country, witch is the standard way Amazon works with other products (they calculate with your Countryā€™s VAT at the checkout), but not in this case.

So no, normally you shouldnā€™t pay more, quite the opposite. Only who live in those another countryā€™s should pay more, but that you have to see at the Checkout! Than you are able to say you donā€™t want to place the order.

ā€¦folks from poor countriesā€¦

You mean every country other than GERMAN, ITALY, SPAIN AND New Zealand?
lolā€¦

Man, I am just scrolling through, but im pretty sure you dont have to pay taxes to ship across borders in the European Union.

They where shipped from China, directly to the shipping order address.

A solution where to have a warehouse in Germany for example, where package goes without VAT, and than forward it to the address of choice (Netherland for example), but thatā€™s not the case. And itā€™s also trying to bypass custom fees, which is illegal.

So the only real solution is to count for the additional VAT at checkout, what is not happening.

Also try it out: pick a random item on Amazon, put in in your basket, go to the checkout, put in two addresses in different countryā€™s (with different taxes), and change between them. If iā€™m right, you will see that the final price changes, because Amazon calculates with the difference in taxes. As far as i knowā€¦ donā€™t have time to try it out, but thatā€™s what i read before.

The devil is in the details.

Can be exactly as you say, when we deal with say Schiit Europe or MagnaHiFi; they bring product to their warehouse in the Netherlands and sell ā€œlocallyā€ in EU which is then same zone.

If however you have a seller in one country (say Germany), but the product comes from say China to Netherlands directly - then it is different game.

Just an example statement from customs invoice (just received actually for some stupid things I had to get here):
Customs value: 4 USD;

These items are controlled by the government and authorized for export only to the country of ultimate destination for use by the ultimate consignee or end-user(s) herein identified. They may not be resold, transferred, or otherwise disposed of, to any other country or to any person other than the authorized ultimate consignee or end-user(s), either in their original form or after being incorporated into other items, without first obtaining approval from the government or as otherwise authorized by law and regulations.

annoyed that drop saying it will take till april to get the product from them. If there was a faster method to get these just to check them out, I would take itā€¦ I just donā€™t feel like dealing with the BS of their return policies + the increased costs

Nice photo.

They are in violation of Amazon policy. Amazon policy is that products sold must include VAT/Custom fees. Therefore I was confused by Linsouls request and contacted Amazon who confirmed this and also from the email it was clear this is not the first time this issue came up and they have been in contact about this with Linsoul.

When they arrive you can start a dispute via Amazon however linsoul does not send them before you agree to paying customs at the door.

Amazon told me they canā€™t do anything about this. Linsoul should get their custom/vat act together and as long as they havenā€™t Amazon should remove them from their platform.

Would like to hear about the biggest differences in sound between these and the sundara. I really enjoy my sundara but i would like to have more bass quantity and more sub bass extension without losing detail/seperation

Would you say the gl2000 is a noticeable upgrade compared to the sundara or are both in the same league?

DHL is incredibly fast I guess. My delivery should be tomorrow, based on how close the headphones are, even though my initial estimated arrival time was Monday. Iā€™m also in the USA.

itā€™s early but between my Final Audio d8000 pro Hifiman HE6se V2 and GL2000 they all have a strength over each other.
First impressions

Build quality D8000pro>HE6se=GL2000
Comfort GL2000>HE6SE(i have to extend the he6se all the way to fit around my ears) =D8000pro(It just takes longer to get it in a comfortable position for me but once set itā€™s very good I had to edit this cause its kinda unfair its very comfortable)
Bass D8000pro>HE6SE>gl2000
Mids D8000pro>HE6SE>gl2000
resolution D8000pro>he6se>gl2000
Detail D8000pro>HE6SE>gl2000
Soundstage GL2000>He6se=D8000pro
Dynamics HE6SE=D8000pro( I canā€™t really pick here lmao)>GL2000
imaging HE6SE=D8000pro>GL2000
Female Vocals D8000pro > gl2000
Male Vocals HE6SE = D8000pro > gl2000

some are alot closer than you think but Iā€™m leaning towards keeping the HE6SE V2 over GL2000

the GL2000s feel like the planars of HD800 to me, better bass though which is probably why alot of people compare it to the Arya.

Iā€™m hoping itā€™s not Aprilā€¦though feels like they will be last to get more stock since the price is less than all other options. Iā€™m with you thoughā€¦not cancelling at this point Iā€™ll just wait it out to see. Iā€™m waiting on my new chair I ordered too back on January 1stā€¦lol killing me. We were all spoiled pre-covid.
