Linsoul did get a shipment in and they are actively filling orders. I chatted with them a couple of days ago.

Iām starting to get the feeling that because of how popular these were it caught the manufacturer off guard. Thus sending out headphones that maybe didnāt get the proper inspection they should have. Nobody should ever get 1 pad that is D shaped and one that is not. Chemical smellā¦should not happen. I know everyone is still happy with the sound, but come on. Canāt rush shipping so much as to ruin the esthetic. I hope someone knows Linsoul well enough to give this feedback and see if this can be corrected before more consumers become disappointed.

Amplification - Zeos said he enjoyed them more towards a smooth Class A than the linear THX, so hearing how people sourced them will help.

Music Choice - What do you feel they sound best with? Zeos listens to a lot of movie soundtracks which for me benefit from a great soundstage. However, I like listening to intimate vocals with acoustic instruments.
Reviews that say good or bad, really arenāt helpful. Every headphone has strengths and weaknesses. Itās learning what it takes to get the most out of it.
Unfortunately, I watched the headphone.com review and went to Zeos Telegram chat and they help convince me to cancel my order. Now Iām a bit heartbroken. I want what Zeos found. I want that every song is new and enjoyable. I really hope I was wrong, because now, I donāt know what to do.

I have a unopened pair of the gl2000 double magnet version. and my wife found out I bought them when I shouldnāt have. were should I sell them since shipping them back to linsoul would cost 120$

Their pads for the Fidelio X2/X3 are game changers for those in comfort and sound tuning. On the GL2k I canāt even imagine what they can do.

lol its going to cost you a hell a lot more than that man, thatās just shipping costsā¦ once they receive it they are going to hit you for 35% restocking fees plus potential customs. You can sell them on the Buy/Sell thread on here, Head-fi, Reddit, or ebay

So I have some first impressions of the GL2000.
AMP - THX 789
DAC - Soncoz LA-QXD1
Music source is through Optical from my PC.
The only other headphone I have to compare these to is the Ether CX. Closed vs Openbacks, like apples vs oranges.
Honestly, I grudgingly say that these reproduce more detail than my Ether CX in every song I throw at them. I say grudgingly because I love my Ether CX and I want to keep using them.
The GL2000 has a lot more bass, image better, has better separation, and has a larger soundstage than my Ether CX.
I feel like I donāt have to concentrate to hear some of the little details in songs. Although, everything sounds as if the dynamic range has shrunk a bit.
People like to describe music reproduction as ālayeredā which I can attest to. Vocalists, female and male, sound like thereāre in front of you most likely due to the larger soundstage.
In the end, I was looking for a different way my music could be played and I think I found that different way.
Also, because someone mentioned earlier in the thread, These sound better than the Aeon Open RTs, which I owned for a small amount of time.
One bad aspect to note is the build quality. I mean compared to my Ether CX these feel cheap and flimsy.

This is just a first impression because I have only listened to them for about an hour.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I am using the D-Shaped Hybrid pads and I have not heard the original leather ones.

do not use balanced adapter to 3.5 you will blow the amp on the g6. the g6 was my first dac amp and the dac is much better than the amp. you will notice a very large jump if you get the schiit magni 3+ and a slightly smaller jump from a 99$ dac such as the modi for 200 bucks you will basically have another new headphone just from those upgrades. i know because i did them lol
