šŸ”¶ GoldPlanar GL2000

100% agree with this. I came from soundblaster cards for most my life to finally a magni/mobi stack. Definitely worth the upgrade at an incredible price! 0 regrets!! Canā€™t wait to use with the GL2k!

Not to look stupid but, Iā€™m fairly new to this. Will a cable like the hifi man he-400i work? Itā€™s two 3.5 to one 3.5. Iā€™m assuming itā€™ll work but I donā€™t want to blow anything up.

I have the schitt stack too but the Heresy and Modi, it was better then the built-in on my pc. I would also recommend the schitt

yeah i believe it will work but you need to check what originally it came with. if the headphone is wired for balanced and you turn it into single ended i dont know how that would work.

Yes that will work. As long as the connectors to the headphone cups are correct, then it will work. The reason why you canā€™t just plug an unbalanced connector to a balanced one has to do with grounding. Even a cheap $16 cable off of Amazon will work just fine:

Are they on ā€œThe Wallā€?

Hey, wtf, this cable is exactly the one HarmonicDyne Helios came with, exact copy! So anyway, I didnā€™t understand why one canā€™t use adapter for the balanced cable to 3.5mm? I thought the opposite is dangerous.

You can adapt a balanced headphone to an unbalanced output without issues, yes.

Copied this from a tech site:

A balanced cable can be used in an unbalanced source with the proper adapter. However, attempting to use an unbalanced cable with a balanced source is not possible, and will likely damage the source.

Actually looks like they took off the 4.4 to 3.5. But every other adapter combo is here. Weird.

I mean, I already bought the balanced dual 3.5mm to mini xlr from Hart Audio. Just hope their adapters are ok to use.

Thank you!! And thatā€™s that I thought, Iā€™m just a very doubting person and wanted to be sure! Thatā€™s actually the cable I bought for it yesterday! Lol

Your credit card might be declining it. Mine did twice. I had to approve the charge with them before they would let it go through.

Questions, why not buy it from linsoul?

Its a 100+ dollars off and comes with XLR cable apparently

The adapters work great from hart audio. I have a hart audio cable for my Ether CX and GL2000s. Great value and great quality.

Ohhh damn, I didnā€™t knowā€¦ Well fuck my wallet then

Yeah, I have Hart cables for my Aeolus and I have the Hart cable for the GL2000 waiting on the headphones to arrive. My GL2000 is in my town and was out for delivery all day yesterday before DHL flagged it as ā€œScheduled for delivery as agreedā€ at 10pm last night. My guess is either they were way behind or the driver missed it until he got back to the hub last night.

Sigh, was really hoping to break them in over the weekend.

Nope, I keep them on the desk. Many places to try them, many people to impress.

mine are finally coming in later todayā€¦ took the plunge because of you, better not dissapoint XD

I contacted Linsoul to inquire about why they were getting shipped with these D shaped hybrid pads instead of the oval ones and if I could get the oval shaped ones. They told me that it was a decision from the manufacturer and that the oval hybrid pads will not be available, so moving forward all of the hybrid pads will have the D shape. I have no idea how the D shaped ones compare to the oval ones, but itā€™s a bit disappointing to not be able to compare them myself. Given that Zeos reviewed them with the oval pads, it would be interesting to hear his thoughts on these new pads since this is the product you are going to get if you buy them now.
