WOW! That wasn’t very nice.
There are a lot of things to consider before commenting on somebody’s post.

Maybe this guy is new and part of his due diligence is coming onto forums like this and doing research.

I don’t know and neither do you.

He seems frustrated, negative comments typically do not help anyone, especially those that are already frustrated for whatever reason.

Instead of putting him down, ask specific questions as to why he is so frustrated instead of flooding the forum with unhelpful comments that then cause a frustrated person to react in a negative way and flood the forum with more unhelpful comments.

Consider that new people might be arriving to the forum and see your negative comments and get turned off, causing them to turn away from those here that are trying to help people.

I saw someone mention the felt, I haven’t listened without but the lip doesn’t seem too large. On pads, I was lucky enough to get the regular oval, really curious how the D is affecting. And for those wondering yes moving to the hybrids is a must in my opinion for width and I’m finding them pretty comfortable. I also bought a dedicated xlr cable I can post if anyone doesn’t want to use an adaptor. These to me are a big comfy macro headphone, big sound. I use these for bass music and they take to EQ bass shelves really well with no distortion. Some of my faves so far are Yosi’s stuff, Tipper, most techno, Dubstep, most EDM, festy music. I reach for this when I want to get loud and few like I’m in front of a P.A. A great add to my collection for sure

Thank you for this informative post!
Would you please post the XLR cable you are talking about for those not wanting to use an adaptor. (Maybe post some good adaptors to get as well)
I think that would be very helpful for a couple of new people to the forum.

Wow what has been going on here, please keep things civil. Let’s keep reviewing politics (is that the right word?) out of this, this is a discussion about the headphone itself, not about the people reviewing the headphone. Would prefer if people here didn’t start going after each other and being an ass about things. Nothing wrong with comparing your thoughts with others about the headphone, but that does not include personal attacks or targeting one another. Would prefer if criticism is kept respectful, constructive, and informative. It’s ok for people to have differing opinions lol, but if you don’t have anything valuable that relates to the headphone and are just trying to pick fights for stupid reasons, most would prefer if you didn’t post

I really like to not touch things and keep hands off as much as possible, as people should be able to resolve conflicts on their own, but if things are getting too far out of control, then I will start giving people temporary bans if they are causing major problems (with a warning first of course). Also please don’t use flags as a dislike button, it won’t work and it gets really annoying, only flag something if it actually is something important

I just got mine a few days ago. I noticed that it is really fatiguing to listen to and when compared to my 6xx the singers voice sounds smaller. Any tips for improvement? im using modi multbit and magni2

Also anyone have tips for changing ear pads? IT’s quite scary as a first timer and the foam liner keeps falling down. Do you really have to just brute force stretch for it to fit?

Had that to at first. They sounded harsh.
Are you still in the ‘burn in’ fase?

Mine improved a lot, after like 25(ish) hours of play time. The full ‘burn in’ I have been told is like 50 hours.

Changing the pads does feel uncomfy. But you indeed neet to stretch them some. Just don’t rush it.

Roughly Id say I’m at 20 hours. I want to plug these into the darkvoice so badly. Just to quel the harshness

Did you have problems with disfiguring the foam that goes over the driver?

Got these running on the btr5 balanced and it sounds good with the volume at 45 for my ears. Good at 40 as well and anything lower would be quiet listening for me. I can notice a little added warmth that the br5 can provide.

Not that I recall.

First move the top half nice into place, then used a little force to pull them over the bottom ridge.

After that I carefully rotated the pads a bit so the sides popped into place.

If feels like its a thin line, forcing and stretching them :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

yours look like this too right? Slightly skew? They fell out while I was changing pads. I am afraid they might affect the sound quality

Trying them on the xd-05 plus and the bass boost is a nice addition to the sound. Adds a boost to the rumble I think? I find the xd-05 plus pretty neutral and it comes off that way but changes up when you flip the bass on and it sounds thicker. Having a lot of fun over here experimenting. I have the gl2000 on high gain and bass switched on at 12 o’clock. On low gain I’d turn it up to 2 with the xduoo xd-05 plus

Edit * these also work on my lg v20! Maxed out volume makes them too loud in a quiet room.

So I guess to find the synergy of the gl2000 and the amp, it’s probably good to consider what qualities your amp/dac will provide and if that’s a quality you like. The gl2000 will present it in its own tuning and represent those qualities of your amp/dac I guess. I’m no expert. Sounds great on the asgard 3 compared to the btr5 and xd-05 plus.

Mine are not skew  can’t you turn them?

Anyone else having this problem, when you put these GL2K’s on you don’t wanna put them off again? They are addictive

The game has changed drastically over the last 30 years.

No more syrup or puking, all the unnecessary ingredients have been taken out.

it’s as clean as these GL2000 headphones now.

90mg isn’t exactly tripping
just a nice walk in the park as I break in these cans.
